Hi all
Any recommendations please? I’m more interested in quality of service when making legitimate claims for items that should be covered rather than cost of coverage.

Thanks craig1912.
There’s a huge range in cost of cover - unfeasibly low for Tesco, 5 or 6 times more for “proper” insurance companies, and not a lot to go on in terms of convincing reviews of service.
Not sure what you mean; a tenant looking to insure their possessions in a property they rent?
Yes, insurance for contents only (tenant’s property), building is insured by owner.
I use M&S.
Contents for the estate cottage we rent and buildings for the property I own that’s rented out.
The contents one includes tenants liability insurance also.
I’ve never had to claim tho, so can’t advise there.
They’re pretty reasonable by comparison.
Watches covered home and abroard to £10k each iirc
Thanks all.
I went for John Lewis in the end, their premiums being roughly in the middle of a very wide range, starting from an improbable-sounding £70 pa from Tesco, and with good reviews online for what they are worth. JL was extremely efficient in dealing with various specified items, and that is hopefully all I will ever need to know about their service.
