    Inside the Dreadnought (modem burner)

When I requested a Dreadnought for photographs, I asked them to leave the back loose so I could photograph the inside without fear of scratching the case in my ham-fisted attempts to remove the back. Now I've photographed inside, the watch is being returned for proofing and sealing. This is the one I'm keeping for myself.

One thing I would like to point out is the Dreadnought is a certified chronometer (DIN standard) and anti-magnetic to 30,000 A/m: who else is rating a watch to this level at this price point?

Only folk I can think of...

offering such quality at this(undisclosed, unless i've missed something)price would be a nomark in my local. Then they wouldn't know what it was.

    Price

Price hasn't officially been set, unless I missed it, but was rumoured to be in the vicinty of £400. That's very competitive.

The top picture has really given the watch a new dimension, the full picture on the previous post was very 2D - like the previous sketches/drawings - but this picture gives it a dynamic perspective that makes you drool.

The innards look as good as the outside - What were your impressions of the watch Eddie when you opened the package and handled it for the first time??

    Speaking of price points...

Do you have a firm price lined up for the Dreadnought yet? I know before you mentioned it had been a while since the original order had been placed and exchange rates had fluxuated, etc., but I was wondering if you had any better idea what the price is going to be now that you've got one in your hands. Thanks.

    I'll answer two questions here....

Firstly Derek, I signed for the package as I was dashing out to catch the post and didn't realise what it was. When I returned, I opened the package and had a "silent moment" whilst I held it, caressed it and gazed upon it. I marvelled at how Fricker had interpreted my PhotoShop pictures and sometimes vague specifications; the attention to fine detail is simply superb.

Secondly Ryan, the final price has been hit by nothing else but the bloody exchange rate. The Euro is 10% stronger than when I started the project so the price will be closer to £450 than £400.

    Looking good Eddie,

I have even registered with the forum to express my congratulations for the way the Dreadnought has turned out.

Just need delivery of number 164 now  I seem to remember that because I ordered a specific number, even though it was an early order, I had to wait as the Original Speedbirds were delivered in batches, by case number. Will the same apply to your new creation?

    The plan is....

To take delivery of all 200 watches at the same time.

    a stunner..

Been travelling for a couple of days, so it was a real shock to log in this morning to see these pics.
Its a GOT TO HAVE thing. Whether I can afford it has suddenly become irrelevant.
Eddie...bloody brilliant. How do you feel?

Due to the rupee exchange rate..

that would be about 450 quid then

No worries Eddie. Call it £25, it was my pleasure. By the way, did the missus like the Pashmina?

But hasn't worn it yet. I've only worn it a couple of times.

    Great moment Eddie !

    Congratulations!

The Dreadnaught seems to fulfill all our expectations and more. :D

Although the all PRS watches are beautiful I can imagine the PRS-2 something special, not only because of the spec's of it, but also because of the time and complications involved in the process up to now....

Now I only need to get one.......

The asking price seems very reasonable

Especially when compared to other limited edition offerings like the Doxa.

Also, did you post anywher the likely price of the Black PRS3?

    Regards

    Dougie

    The black PRS-3 (PRS-11)

Should be £205 - £210 but I'm going to price it under £200.

    The PRS-3 steel...

is still the PRS-3. The PRS-3 PVD is now the PRS-4 (with correct back at the moment) and the PVD orange dial automatic will be the PRS-11.

It's ever so simple really. :?

There were 50 4's with 3 on the back....

But Zeno could revert to 3 at any time they feel like it

    Good grief!

    Hi Eddie,

No wonder the Dreadnaught is rated to 300m...it needs to be...that's where you're going if you get in the water with that monster on your wrist!

    2 small questions

    Hi fellow DN admirers,

On watches I have seen the longer hand is the minute hand but it
seems to me that the shorter hand on the DN is the minute hand.

    Is this correct ?

I think I figured this one out.
The longer hand for the DN is the minute hand as well
since it extends into the minute markings around the edge.

Is there any possibility that a non-chrono certified DN
would ever be produced in a unlimited edtion at a somewhat
    more affordable cost ?

    Thanks.
