I've been waiting 6 months for the blue. Haven't heard anything yet. But you might get lucky.
Is it even worth asking a dealer to order one or am kidding myself with no previous purchase history etc? Not looking for the hyped up blue.

Hope I’m not jinxing anything but let’s see what happens with demand once Covid eases and people are back to spend their hard earned money on travels, cars, nights out etc …
Might be for the cream, navy or black. Wouldn’t bother for the red, green or yellow. You already know re blue.
Saw the navy in Goldsmiths recently & it was surprisingly nice. I do wish they hadn't discontinued the white though.
Secondary market pricing on the red, green and yellow dials is becoming silly as well now following the "Tiffany" nonsense
Come on, this Green dial is a bargin with the Patek dial !

These are my preferred colours, I realise the green would be much harder to source.

Navy, silver, or black. Forget all other colours exist…
I picked up my Navy OP41 late last year and absolutely love it....
The size is great, and along with the GS they make a great pairing.
The Oyster Perpetual 41 is a lovely watch but certainly wear big, I found the one I owned out of proportion for that style of watch.
My wrist is around 7.25" and it definitely takes me a couple of days to adjust after wearing one of my other watches, there's certainly a lot of dial on show.
I have never got to try one of the OP39s or say a 214270 so I don't know how the dial compares in size to those watches.
I do love the simplicity and the lack of polishing on show in comparison to the DJ, I can see mine staying with me long term.
I asked to be put on numerous waiting lists about 10 months ago. No call. That’s assuming I actually got put on the waiting list in the first place…wouldn’t surprise me if my details were written down for show then put in the bin!
I would normally agree with you and have hithertoo advocated 36mm for average sized wrists when ever asked but I tried the op41 green and red on last night and I have say they wore much much better than I expected. Looking at reviews the case size appears to actually be 39.5mm and the new 41s have 21 inch bracelet at the lugs so the proportions seem better to me. The domed bezel doesnt look too big unlike on the dj41 imo. I'd probably so bright blue dial as the darker colours shrink the size. At rrp I'd be tempted (although I'm on a no spending policy currently).
Not a Rolex fan at all, but that blue dial and plane bezel version is quite lovely.
Rugged and stylish.
That in a 39 or 42mm would make me happy.
Not that I'd ever buy one. :)
I agree the OP41 wears better than a DJ41 in terms of size. I moved my blue dialed OP41 on very quickly as I felt the large dial didn't really work for that classic style of watch.
It's a lovely watch though if you don't mind the big dial and have the wrists to carry it off.
