Thread: Most worn of '21

    Most worn of '21

    Unashamedly plagiarised from Hodinkee:

What was the watch you wore the most in 2021?

For me it was close, but the winner was my Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph in steel and titanium. I treated myself to the steel bracelet and it is the perfect watch for me. (Second place was my Blancpain Bathyscaphe which I also added the steel bracelet to at considerable cost).

The weight of the VC and comfort is spot-on.

The chronograph is my favourite complication.

The brand is the most discreet of the Holy Trinity (and the most affordable). And I have never seen this particular watch on anyone else.

Beautiful watch which I didn't know I liked so much until I saw this photo.

Looking back on the year, I guess it was the trusty Speedmaster which got seriously worn in this year (and slightly banged up!).

I bought the Arnie at the start of the year, and have worn it the most in 2021. The reasons; it's quartz, solar powered, accurate, comfortable and makes living in lockdown a lot easier than an auto. Second was the Speedy for the same reason, manual -v- auto.

    Have a great 2022 everyone!

For me my Sinn 857 UTC LE. Such a hard-wearing watch with its tegimented case. And very comfortable on a Nato.

This, and by some distance. It’s also the most accurate watch I own - and in my humble opinion the finest Eddie has produced so far :)

I am not really sure but if I were to take a guess it would be the Synchron Military. However since it’s arrival the PRS55 has been on the wrist a lot as well. Both relegating ‘better’ watches to the safe.

I would say it was probably my Seiko King Turtle.

    That's a stunning VC, OP.

My Sub has been my most worn, yet again:

Probably my G-shock. Lots of home improvements, gardening and mucky child care, plus solar quartz is so convenient! Secondly place goes to the nomos club.

No such thing for me, as it’s a 3 way tie between a Sinn U1, Damasko DC56 and 14270 Explorer.

Despite a lot of compilation from my Damasko DA47 this was my most worn of the year

My Longines VHP grab and go watch. 6 seconds per year accuracy with full auto calendar, (including leap years), so there's nothing to check/change when I put it on, other than that it's still ticking.

    Best Regards - Peter

At a guess my U1. Second place will most likely be the Seiko Arnie.

Pretty sure it's been one of my Ming watches. The 2701 if I have to take a guess!

I've only worn one watch this year, and then for only a few hours to see if it would charge and hold the charge (which it did):

p.s. it's such an ugly watch in such a state that I decided it doesn't warrant a large picture

As this is my weekend watch, and therefore worn most weeks, it would probably be this.

My choice was limited this year as I only had four pieces in VN and then purchased two (Tudor Ceramic & Pelagos), so I guess my most worn (for the longest duration) would have been the NM Evo -

The most often worn (almost every weekend) was the Day Date -

    Garmin 6S purchased from SC.
Probably not going to be popular but the Horological equivalent of the TFT.....Analogue display option is my favourite though. ;)

Are the hands and markers etc slightly blue? Or is it just the lighting?

I think it's the light blue that makes this watch for me, but can't seem to find anything similar online.

    Either way, beautiful.

CWC Mellor for me; an unexpected delight to wear pushing aside bulkier clunkier brethren. Wishing everyone every success in 2022.

Shalako had one exactly like this. I tried it on and it's absolutely stunning. Great choice. Not surprised it's a favourite.

My DA47 by some distance, whilst I did have a few others keep it in its box for a few weeks at a time it always ends up back on my wrist as the perfect blend of easily legible, quality under the radar day to day tool watch.

  36. #36
Probably this one, as a quartz with super legible sword hands on the best electric blue dial, it gets picked up a lot.

Thank you. The carbon fibre dial has a wonderful 3D effect, though it's hard to capture with the camera. I originally intended to buy the white dialled version but when I saw the carbon fibre dial I was hooked.

Thanks, it’s a great watch and so comfortable. Still looks new after 2 years, the only mark it’s ever picked up was a chip in the crystal from a clash with a diamond ring. Omega just recently replaced it and carried out a half service for free - unbelievable customer service.

The same as every year, my CWC.

    It's my running watch.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

    2021 was this one
