Asahi "dry" and lovely it really is. Chapeau.
An Amundsen Imperial tonight.
This stuff is dark enough to stain the glass!

Had another of the reliably excellent ales from Allendale the other day . . .
Always nice to have a furnace warm cheery glow at this time of year . . .

De Ranke Brouwerji’s 2021 Hop Harvest
We went for a week's break in Lyme Regis in August, the place was to be kind, a bit dull and boring, but we were lucky to stumble across a small brewery making this NEIPA. It is my favourite beer for a long time, sadly we are down to our last two cans, and buying it online is stupidly expensive. But I may have to bite the bullet.
Had these yesterday on a bit of crawl round Leeds
amongst others

A family friend is coming over tonight, haven't had a beer together since before lockdown last year. Got a couple of beers lined up. And a bottle of Scallywag to have a go at afterwards.

This is a dangerously tasty Brew, pudding in a glass and 10% , so just the one, to start with ....

First one of the evening.
New one for me, looks cloudy but tastes lovely.

Wow don't know what's happened to the photo, it was crystal clear before upload.
Couple of tasties from last night.
I genuinely don’t think there’s a better low alcohol pale than Kernel’s Table Beer. Every brew has a different hop profile but it’s always light, fruity and fresh. This was Citra Chinook.
And one from one of my current favourite craft breweries in London, Drop Project down in Mitcham. Their monthly beer box (9 delivered for £42) is really top value for the quality and styles. This was lovely, creamy, zesty and the fruity esters from the Kveik yeast gave it a dry, fresh crispness at the end.
Out for a couple of early ones at HopShack and Horsforth Brewery , Kirkstall Dexter in HopShack and a Nomadic Dukka in Horsforth brewery. Only picture in HopShack, my son had the Pomona Island Phaedra

Second
I love this one, a bit lively 3.9% so right on the money for me.
Both are from my local brewery and well worth trying if you find them in your local beer shop.

Agreed with the Brother-in-law that instead of Xmas gifts, we’’d get an empty beer calendar and fill it for each other. Something I can get on board with..
Todays brew is a local Hazy Double IPA from a brewery I haven’t heard of - cracking name too..
There I was having a pleasant swally yesterday . . .
. . . when a nice German lass who lectures at the University placed stollen and brandy on the bar, it would have been rude not to . . .

Official in between jobs beer, bought by Mrs. Wimm as a congratulory gift.
Very tasty it is too, barely notice that it is stronger than usual.
Really enjoying this. Cloudwater can do no wrong imho!

I have been putting off drinking this one for weeks as it’s 6% and a bit strong for me, however it’s really nice
Could not drink more than one though as it’s quite sweet
