56 and I also recall his escapades. Great tribute to him.
Tears in my eyes....
58 and remember.

A brilliant tribute to a childhood hero.

Felt guilty having forgotton him for so many years. Lovely and well deserved tribute from TG.
That was absolutely brilliant. Well done TG.
What a fantastic tribute.
Worth watching again.
Kudos to TG for that moving tribute.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Absolutely epic! :-)
It was good, I remember him but never what happened. Fitting tribute
Was brilliant.

I thought it a great tribute to all he had done, but I wasn't totally comfortable with the "and here's a lot of people doing what you can't any more" aspect.
Superb, brilliant episode.
Wish Top Gear would do more of these historic pieces, They seem to do one every 2 or 3 seasons. Should be a couple per season.
I thought it was brilliant and emotional, bikes, cars whatever, if your into petrol and oil tributes like that will get to you.
Not a fan of TG but hats off to them for a tribute to Eddie Kidd, he always went for it 100%. He actually beat Evel Knievel's son in a motorcycle jumping competition.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Great tribute to a legend; 8 of us were there when it happened - an easy jump or so it seemed. Everyone was stunned.

That was shot in front of my house, the noise and lights were mental....no wonder.
Fantastic tribute for a genuine legend ... well done to all involved
Got to agree with this, I wasn’t sure if it was light hearted TG fodder, the ending was poignant though. Apparently our boy from Bolton is a bike nut and someone posted on here some shots of him at the CCM factory recently.
Well you can’t criticise TG for being formulaic and just doing the same old stuff. Just keep it light hearted lads.
So sad to see Eddie like that.
Best bit of Top Gear TV for a long time

It was a nice tribute and brought back some memories!
He's still a good looking fella - lovely smile and a sparkle in his eyes.
Wow, powerful stuff! I loved watching the jumps in the 80sand 90s
So lovely to see Eddie get remembered and celebrated in such a lovely way. Well done TG team
was going off topgear, but that was awesome.
A few tears here also, similar age to Eddie Kidd, he Sheene, Dunlop, all my heroes... pushed so hard in their sport. I'm sure he would never been allowed to do the jump today. Great to see him smiling. Well done TG
I knew he had problems but had forgotten that it wasn`t a natural mental condition he had but accident-related.
Dreadful decision on that last stunt though - landing on an uphill incline after a bike jump? No, no, no. The complete opposite of what you want.
And like others have mentioned i did wonder whether Eddie`s thoughts on what he might of still been able to do filtered through while watching othe others perfroming that grand finale..
Amazing tribute, genuinely emotional. Amazing to have a man with a disability front and centre. Proper legend.
It crossed my mind too but I would have to disagree. He seemed delighted, though not so much at the four wheeled efforts, haha. What swung it for me was the fact that the man keeps the bike he crashed in his bloody hall! Different animal.
Not normally one for mawkish but that seemed genuinely heartfelt. Fair play to Paddy and TG.
I just watched it with my wife and son last night. Brilliant stuff. The Eddie Kidd tribute was beautifully done and very moving - my wife blubbed!
The rest of the show was great too.
I love this presenting team, I think they get it spot on.
So clever my foot fell off.
I was a great piece, some of my biker buddies were in the ride alongside and he had to keep it a secret for months since the filming.
I was at that event , remember it well, seems like not that long ago
Only just got around to watching it. Wow, just wow, very emotional viewing, felt like my throat was closing up. My cheeks got a little moist for some reason also.
Fair play to Paddy M., not one of my favourite presenters by a long chalk but how wonderful was he with Eddie? From the moment he walked into to Eddie's living room onwards there was no pretence, no ego, just pure joy and awe to meet the man. The joy in Eddie's eyes was a pleasure to watch also. Well done TG.
