I have suddenly become interested in rectangular watches...just wondering what people have? And opinions welcome of course!
I know the usual suspects are cartier and jlc but are there any others out there worth a look..
Longines have just updated their la dolce vita line which look good for a reasonable price.

Dunhill Facet - this is the limited edition produced for the millennium
Also have a vintage LIP T18 which I wear sometimes
I have just started looking at rectangular watches and the best bet is either a Rolex Cellini Prince which is a modern out of production version of the famous Rolex Prince prevalent during the Art Deco period or a Patek Gondola. You won't go wrong with either. Google is, as usual, your friend.
Monaco Calibre 11 is the only rectangular I have
Have had loads from vintage to new, vintage are cheaper but can be quite small.
Currently have a steel Zenith Port Royal Elite and a pink gold Longines Evidenza.
JLC Reverso surely?
Edit: sorry read your post too quickly!
Something whacky like a franck muller?
Zenith port royal open is a huge slice of value, often coveted one
I have a Gevril Avenue of Americas, not sure why I like this watch so much, I just do!
/vince ..
My only rectangular, longest owned and oldest watch.

Fears archival - available with small seconds and without, new old stock movements.
True gilt dials, true to original size. Simply stunning
Never had one, though I was tempted by a Seiko I saw in a department store in Leicester a few years ago. I think it was solar. However, this thread has given me an itch.
I like my rectangular watches, I like them a lot.
Find myself reaching probably more than my conventionally shaped watches.

Having grown up in the 80's, seeing my dad wearing a 70's TV screen Raketa, I've always had a thing for rectangular / TV screen shaped watches.
BTW, does TV screen count as rectangular?
This one i don't own yet, but i'm eyeing with it. I can already see myself with it as a comforting piece once the Big Blue goes:
Not forgetting Ed Straker's (my boss here at S.H.A.D.O. HQ) Certina
Off topic, but - someone on the UFO page on Facebook made a wonderful 3D model of that office that you can spin a virtual camera round in a browser; scroll to the bottom of this page:

It just so happens that I'm wearing this chunk of 70's rectangularness today. Curved caseback makes if very comfortable to wear.

I fancied a Reverso but went for a Cellini Prince; the only Rolex with a display back:
I did own this rather unusual GP

Some of my vintage collections over the years...
^^^ Oh, very, very nice.
I particularly like the longer models, especially the Longines and Gruen Curvex.
I have some like this[1] and it is one of my collecting aims to collect a range of Gruen Curvex watches as well as Hamilton, Bulova, Longines and similar Curvex-alikes.
Since I first became interested in this genre of watch, the price of good specimens has shot up (like all good quality vintage watches, I guess).
Footnote:-
1: I think I promised to post some photos of mine when this subject was last discussed. I'll get around to it eventually. They're not as nice as pacifichrono's ones though.

^^^ Well that's different. Is that an ostrich leather dial?

I thought this thread was going to be tumbleweed to be honest, im glad its got some traction!!
Lots of different options which is good although some offerings are more square than rectangular
I'm totally down the rabbit hole now and considering watches i would never have looked at before!!
Strange hobby

A square is a rectangle with all sides of equal length.

I’m in the process of buying my first rectangle watch - reverso classic duo. Likely to go for the medium over the large. Love it.

Yes, medium. You need a wide and flat wrist to do the large justice I found.
