I've hesitated to put this up here, but what the hell, this is a thread about cars (not "champagne socialists")...
It's my absolute favourite car, probably ever. It's a Vanquish Carbon Black - with every option on it. The 177 steering wheel is really cool, and the B&O sound system with the pop up tweeters is loud enough to drown out the V12, just. The entire car is carbon fibre (and probably needs a clean, so apologies for that), and I hope never to have to replace a clipped wing mirror because that would be an insurance job...
It's also an incredibly easy car to drive - comfortable, beautifully balanced steering, compliant chasis, and ground clearance sufficient to manage the horrendous speed humps and roads of the UK. Put it into Sport or Track mode and it absolutely flies and snarls in a way that only a naturally aspirated V12 can.
To me, it is the pinnacle of modern Aston design. I looked at the DB11, but it just didn't do it for me in the same way. The DB11 is a fine car, but a replacement for the DB9, the Vanquish was a standalone top of the Aston range model, and they threw pretty much everything at it.
I consider it truly beautiful from any angle - it simply doesn't have a bad line on it to my eyes.
PS - it's obviously not a daily driver!
So clever my foot fell off.
Is there a benefit in steering wheel being that shape?

Absolutely stunning
The Astons are always head turners,
Had my friends Vantage for a long weekend a few years back and it really gets admiring looks-funnily enough the Vantage never really felt fast but it didnt really matter.
The interior of this one reminds me of it.
Cracking looking car and life's too short to worry about peoples opinions.
Enjoy the summer in it.
Lovely car Mr. Banana.
There’s a sentence I never thought I’d write.
This is quite special indeed, Alex.

@TFB. Stunning, what a car! Thanks for sharing.
Very nice TFB. I assume you drive the other to work? Interestingly, this is exactly the sort of car I imagine the modern Lord Blackadder (and indeed RA) would drive. Enjoy!

Yep, that's definitely not my commuting car.
I actually took the view that money in the bank these days earns practically nothing, so while I can still get in and out of one of these and enjoy it, I decided to tick it off my bucket list. In a way, it's actually a bit of an investment - not with any expectation of making a profit, but with not losing too much. Astonishingly, it has gone up in value since I bought it.
And I like the Blackadder sentiment - that made me smile!
So clever my foot fell off.
TFB - that is just stunning. Well done you, life is for living, and where possible owning items that bring a smile every time you look at them.
Onyx black metallic with ceramic coating.
Does show up the dust though - I always swore I wouldn't get another black car after I got rid of my previous Maserati, but when I saw this one I simply couldn't resist. Also, as my wife kindly confirmed to me, "Don't get a grey or silver one, you're not Daniel Craig."
The truth hurts sometimes.
So clever my foot fell off.
Incredible car, especially in black. I wouldn't have a black car again either but I'd have that! Very special.
Fantastic!
I'll be driving this in a fortnight (if all goes well) but it won't be mine ....

Driving it like you stole it ?!

Loving the Astons!
After 5 black cars on the bounce I've sworn never to have another, but I'd make an exception for those!
Tomorrow im taking my old stager to a photoshoot with Jane.

I hope they washed that old plane before it got its photo with my Jaaagg
Yes, very cool number plates indeed.
Great to see a Leon Cupra too and I miss mine most days. The best hot hatch I've ever driven with 300 bhp and an absolute beast in Cupra mode. Always used to put a smile on my face and every trip out felt like an "occasion". Can't say I feel the same about the FR model I have now and will looking for another Cupra next time I change.
Cheers
Neil
Here's mine. Quick blast last night from Wiltshire to Poole for fish and chips at Cars on the Quay.
Then back in time for a late night drink at our local brewery outside bar.

FFF - Yep BTB. It's great. Best to book, but you can sometimes get a table as a walk-in. Best avoid Thursday and their open mike night. Some of the acts are dreadful!

Hard to follow 3 Astons on the 1 page!
This is my current family wagon. Absolutely love it, with the air suspension it means it handles my twisty cross country commute far better than a large estate should!
I got this for Mrs Lyons a few weeks ago. I wanted a 3rd car but wasn’t allowed, so this was the compromise. A few issues with Boston BMW, which when 400 miles away and separated by the Irish Sea aren’t easy to sort, but I think we are nearly there. Perfect weather for it at the minute too!
Has anyone owned an Alfa Gulia Quadrafoglio?
Giving serious consideration as next daily. Need to get out and test drive one
With GDPR rules, is it worth blanking off the number plate anymore?
Can people still get your address from it?
I’m guilty of doing myself and I did it when I sold my Citigo but I didn’t really give it much thought then.
