That is bloody lovely. Did you have to order it or (shock horror) you were able to walk in a buy one off the shelf? Do you happen to know the availability of these?
This arrived today and its very impressive, a lot of watch for the money and stacks up well against its competitors. There’s huge upgrades over the previous model; new in-house movement, increased water resistance, reduced case size, innovative new strap changing system, likewise link removal system, a glide-lock style micro adjustment in the clasp and finally a clear caseback to appreciate the movement as much as that stunning blue dial…
on my 6 3/4in wrist…
thickness…
the travel case included is a nice touch…
As you can see im not one of those fancy professional reviewer type people, just some real world shots for anyone considering buying one. Theres also a ton of video reviews on youtube now.
Feel free to add photos of yours on this thread, other strap options and maybe someone has the green dial version?..

Its stunning isn’t it, as for availability its still showing as ‘coming soon’ with most retailers and some quoted a two week lead time getting one in from the manufacturer.
I found this one at Berrys (their first one in), as I was ringing round researching prices, so I was lucky there.
I'd say that's practically perfect in every way!
They’ve got it right with this one. Looks fantastic
that is a winner,I like it a lot.
Congrats, its stunning.
How do you find the thickness? What size are your wrists?
Lovely - and the micro adjustment slide feature is excellent.
The thickness is to be expected, but with that in mind it doesn’t stand up too high, its comfortable, doesn’t feel top heavy like similar watches I have worn. The Planet Ocean for example did feel top heavy and the Tudor BB GMT struck me as way too thick every time I wore it whereas with this it just feels right, so IWC have done a good job on the thing you can’t really put onto a spec sheet; how it feels on the wrist.
6.75ins wrist.
Very nice - IWC bracelets are top quality and seemingly have been since the Mk XII in the 90s.
Just bought one also! In the metal the green was too green so I went for the blue

Saw them the other day - agree green is way too green, and the blue is fab. Love this iteration of the pilot chrono.
Did any of you guys try it with the leather or rubber straps
I must admit this is also on my list
Interesting to hear it wears slimmer than the black bay gmt
Who does it compare weight wise
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Waaay lighter than the 43mm model. As I tried the 41mm on before buying it I compared it with the 43mm as they were still for sale and there was a significant difference in weight. The proportions of the 41mm seem much classier to me. Something about the 43mm to me seemed a bit out of proportion compared to the earlier IWC models. The 41mm seems pretty spot on.
One thing to note is IWC have 'done a Rolex' here in so far as the bracelet isn't very generous. A 7.75 inch wrist would get away with this, 8 inch and above and you need an extra link fitted. Same as Rolex Jubilee straps.
Its heavier on the bracelet obviously, but balanced not top heavy in my view. Thats with a full set of links, I still need to remove one. I also want to buy the rubber strap for it to keep wearing it during activities and given the hot weather we’ve had, but not heard back from the dealer yet about that. Then one day a leather strap to make it right for any occasion.
*EDIT*
I just took the bracelet off to weigh it, 92g for the watch head and 78g for the bracelet

Looks very nice, maybe IWC are getting back to form…..their last 10 years worth of offerings haven’t done much for me ( with a few exceptions)
Look forward to seeing one for real…
And…..It’s got a grumpy Duck!

Great looking piece, hard incredible things about the bracelet on this one! Does it feel top heavy at all? Thats the one quirk that's made me part with more watches than for any other reason
Arrived Last week, I love mine! The new 41mm case and it being slightly thinner makes it wear perfectly on my slim wrists.

That looks great on blue leather, did you manage to get a discount?
on my to do list is grab a blue rubber strap and maybe blue or brown leather.
I managed to look at these at WOS and they are indeed a winner both in green and blue. The green is perfect and would be my choice plus sizing is perfect. The WOS Rolex section was absolutely bare but there was plenty of choice with IWC plus, you can try them on and haggle for a discount.
For your information
I contacted iwc concierge about strap availability
Calf strap blue or brown September
Calf strap black November
Rubber strap black or blue July
Rubber strap brown or red August
Looking forward to giving mine a new look

IWC really nailing the £6-7k market now.

I really like these…
There’s a black dial one on the way soon (confirmed by IWC boss on instagram)
It is lovely, however having owned the previous gen 43mm version I think I would miss some of the heftiness that is so appealing about these watches.
Stunning blue dial on that IWC, rare to see a great blue chrono.

Oh is it with the display back ? Has IWC ditched the anti-magnetic casing ?
Nice watch though !
