Often this is the one that gets the mucky jobs (in this case picking 120 years of paint out of our plaster cornicing)
But not always. Lucky I was wearing this on a NATO when this springbar popped 20ft up a walnut tree

I can't quite remember if I took this picture climbing up a huge mountain in 1953 or a small hill in 2021. It was definitely one of the two.
My father is retired and he's a classic car enthusiast who fixes his own cars. And he's also very hard on his (always cheap) watches. This 70€ Alpha took 10 years of abuse. Some hour markers were detached and the winding crown broke and the last 4 years it was open and probably took oil, water, coolant fluid inside... anything.
But the watch still keeps perfect time, believe it or not.
