Love the stand
Got any clearer pics of the Watch face, difficult to see from those images.
Wanted one of these for years since I saw them at Geneva Airport, finally dropped the hammer on one today.

Good on you OP. Much more interesting than yet another 'me too' Sub or Seamaster arrival.

Cheers guys, yes I love the fact it's clear.

Strange concept with the quartz movement hidden around the edge of the case. Not sure if I like the idea or not. Would like to see one in real life I think.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
When it's on your wrist and you're trying to tell the elapsed time you'll be squinting
If you like it that’s all that matters. It’s an interesting looking watch for sure.
Cool watch. Something different but somehow not too quirky.
Nice to see something different, congratulations.
[As to "haters gonna hate" - it should make no difference what others think.]
Looks interesting. Could you take some photos of it?
Please don't use a potato like the pros apparently did.
Unusual is good; enjoy with a smile.
I'd be fascinated to know how that works. I assume that the hands are embedded in discs of acrylic or something and rotated at their circumference by the movement? Very clever and admirable for being different - I like them (although not the one with the pirate)
From the patent linked above:
"TRANSPARENT ANALOG CLOCK OR WATCH
Abstract
The invention relates to a transparent analog clock or watch (10) with a minute hand (21) and hour hand (16) driven centrally via hollow spindles in front of a dial (11), with an adjustable hand drive behind the dial (11), with a transparent disc (13) as the watch or clock glass, a transparent disc (14) as the back and with a case ring (12). The features of the novel transparent analog clock or watch are that the dial (11) is also transparent, the hollow spindle of each hand is driven via a transparent, disc-like pinion (22, 27) and that its drive (23, 24; 28, 29) is fitted invisibly in the case ring (12)."
I think that's great, the sort of thing we'd call in the local vernacular "Geet clever"

It would be good to see a review of it when you have time. I really like the idea.
There is also another Q for the Friday thread!
What a great watch!
I like the watch, the stand and the overall design aspect around the watch. The only negative is that it's a little bit difficult to read but I could live with that.
I don't think you can ever HATE a genuinely different watch - It may not be for you, but you can't know someone for doing something different.
I quite like it.
I can't make out what the original photos show, though, is there a dial front and back?

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Some of their designs are pretty hideous but yours isn't. I can't work out if the watch face is mirrored or see-through so that you see your own wrist. I would not be keen on the latter. The other elephant in the room is the cost of the watch (I suspect quite high). I very much look forward to your review of the watch when it arrives and some close up pics as I've not seen one of these in the flesh, but would like to.
Yes, I read the article and saw the price then, but that was 10 years ago. Brands like this do sometimes start with sky high prices but have to change tack, so I'd be intrigued to know if they have (their website doesn't shed any light on this that I could see).
I couldn't see any prices on their website either but a quick look at their distributors only has one in the UK and they list a few models on their website including this one;

Not for me in a million years but congratulations on buying a very individual watch and not just another wannabe “sub” wear it in good health.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
Congratulations on acquiring something absolutely totally unique. I doubt that you’ll ever encounter someone else wearing one in your lifetime. Well done. It’s mesmerising.

Very interesting. All that explanation about the discs and complications make the watch most misterious!
Thanks for sharing

Some lovely feedback guys, nice to see that people like a bit of variety in their lives.
Order was placed and paid for, just awaiting delivery from Germany, let's hope I don;t get hit too hard by the taxes.
Will get some pics when it arrives.
With regard to rarity, yes they are rare as they are in small production quantities, but certainly not like selling your grandma to get a Daytona or a Hulk.
So it's finally arrived, a few things to note.
The "box" is an actually flipping ostrich egg.
The second hand is not a second hand, it's a date hand.
there is an AM PM Indicator at 12 o'clock, not sure how to read that yet.
Case is lovely, condition is amazing for 20 years old
It's a limited edition number 355 of something but not sure what .
It's very transparent.
Like it
Don't think the am/pm thing is an indicator, just their slightly eccentric way of marking where noon lies on the dial...
From a comment on the ablogtowatch article:
RoyH • 9 years ago
Hi ,
Very nice article Mr. Ariel Adams and would like to answer on how the AM/PM functions ! as a matter of fact it's very simple to read it yet very complicated in the movement's mechanics.. however if you take a close look on the date indicator circle at 12 you will notice AM/PM indicator followed by 31 rectangular frames with a centered dot in each frame on top of each date of the month ! so at midnight till 11:59 hours the date hand arrow will be before the centered dot indicating AM and it will automatically jump after the dot to indicate PM after 12 noon... moreover I would like to highlight that the QUINTING watch has11 layers of sapphire crystals, 5 of them are fixed and the other 6 discs (that represents each hand in the chronograph) and are active parts of the movement that is a very high end complicated mechanical movement composed of 230 tiny high precision pieces manufactured exclusively for the Quinting mvt and is equipped with a smart electric circuit powered by a battery that will give an impulsion every 5 seconds to help the mechanical movement run smoothly which makes it EXTREMELY UNIQUE and highly exclusive ..
I trust that this explains some of many mysterious question marks of this unique time piece... :)
Thank you
Roy H.
A very interesting design! (took me a few pics to realise it was completely see-through in the centre!)
(Not sure why anyone had to mention 'Rolex' at all )
That's a great watch, shows imagination and clever engineering, every couple of years I look at the Corum Golden Bridge, they always have them in the el corte ingles in Marbella, but I have never been brave enough.
Never seen anything like this before, the only thing that puts me off the really niche stuff is concerns around servicing etc. Wear it in good health!
Sure there was a Seiko lassale like that in the 80’s? Lusted after one at the time, not sure it’s for me now but nice to see something different
