Hope your recovery goes well, Enoch.
Quick question for you guys, do you have more than one bike and if so what do you look for?
I’m thinking is there scope for say a day to day bike and rides out for the day, and then something nice for touring (BMW perhaps)?

I have 2 exactly as you describe (tourer and a fun bike), the only challenge is that I feel I should try and alternate riding them anyway, irrespective of journey length. Otherwise the GS would only get used a few times a year!

Not sure if this is any good for someone, but if anyone is in the market for a new Rev’it Horizon 2 Textile Jacket (these go for £340 - £360 everywhere) then this link may be of interest to you but only if you need a XL. For some reason the XL size is £199.99 but all other sizes are full price, most places are sold out of these and not getting any stock for a good while.
I’ve ordered one and it’s getting delivered tomorrow.

Wishing you a full and swift recovery, Enoch.
Well as it happens I've just picked up a second this evening, the Kawasaki ER6F that was on SC. Mrs MCH is hoping to get her bike licence over the summer, liked the look of it and I reckon it will be a good first bike for her.
So for now it's mine and when she passes her test, it's hers.
I took a slightly longer route home and it was interesting riding it home contrasting it with my Caballero. I need to ride it a few times to get used to it but one thing I found most odd (first time with a fairing) was the clocks etc not moving with the steering.
Get well soon Enoch- plenty more miles still to ride!
Blimey, hope you feel better soon Enoch.
Enoch, wishing you a speedy and full recovery. Barmouth is beckoning us, we need to be there soon pal.
See you soon,
Stuart

Get well soon Enoch.
Here’s some filth to keep you distracted :)
Get well soon Enoch, I’m looking forward to seeing more of your Speedmaster now the weather is improving, that’s exactly the bike that I would have liked to put together.
So sorry to hear of your troubles Enoch,. Get well soon buddy!!

Thanks Chris - current panic is that he can't find the legal visor for his helmet. Whilst he likely wouldn't be penalised for a dark visor, as it might well be peeing down he'd rather have one he can see through.
Looks like he's wearing his "old" helmet which is a bit of squeeze but legal
^^^ I don't blame you, neither could I!
The boy's just headed off to do his Mod 1
Love the glimpse of personal plate

Well it’s not going to take him long to get there!
Is it your H2 Gyp?
He took a more sedate vehicle today
No, it was bought by a mate of mine when they were first released back in 2015. I rode it for a few miles though and, whilst it was truly astonishing, it wasn't right for me. Blisteringly fast from tick over, and the throttle response was so stupidly immediate that the slightest wrist movement from a ripple on the road would send you half way into next week. Riding it slow about town was very hard and the moment the throttle was opened out of town you were through a telling off and ban territory into prison term before there was time to blink.
I'm glad I tried it, but it had none of the relaxed approach to ballistic travel that my Hayabusa had, it was all or nothing.
I believe that they adjusted the fuelling and throttle response to calm things down for the following year, but that first year bike was truly mental.
I might be tempted to try an H2 SX or Z H2 though...
Mod 1 pass. 3 minors.
Stall, slight wobby on straight line and not fast enough through speed trap on first attempt.
ok, let's get Mod 2 booked.
A pass is a pass. Well done!

They’ve since upped the peer to 230bhp on the road legal H2 so that the lower powered SX and Z counsel remain at 200bhp.
Ive a friend who works for immigration (rapid response bike division) who tells me that the ZZR1400 is a much more accomplished rocket ship!
Nah, track days are essential. Not only are they good fun, they allow you to seek the combined limits of the bike and the pilot in relative safety, thus avoiding the temptation to try the same on an open road.
It can also show them the best place to "get it out of their system"...

According to the booking tool he could do his mod 2 tomorrow, but needs to get leave from work agreed. If only he'd done it before he moved jobs as his previous employer was doing Furlough Fridays.
As the training for mod 1 was me shouting as he rode around a deserted pub car park, I'm wondering if bike to bike intercom and me following and yelling as he rides about might work.
I love trackdays (well, loved, it’s been a while) but they’re not a cheap day out, especially if you end up paying for two!
I found that they spoiled the gun of riding non the road for me though which isn’t something I’d wish on a newish rider.
Now I’m older (and slower) and, having spent the last decade or so mainly riding dirt bikes, i am enjoying getting out on the public roads at a slightly more sedate pace.
He exudes a lot of presence in that photo. Bet he has some stories to tell.
