Thought it would be an idea to have a pictures thread for watches being worn well, provide a bit of interest and inspiration.
Anything goes, but I’d suggest:
- it will be interesting to see the watch in context, so wrist shots don’t really work
- doesn’t need to be what’s nowadays called a “public figure”.
Let’s see ’em.
A nice trio here I think. Although nobody does it better than Don Draper!

What watch is Liev Schrieber wearing and Don Draper with the dark grey suit?

What do I win?
A personal favourite..
Great thread JGJG!
Likely the Kobold Polar Surveyor.
^Thanks. Looks great.
Was slightly hoping it might be something cheaper.
This must be the civilised version of the Chronoporn thread.
J-P Belmondo -

Jim.
The extraordinary Don McCullin with his (I think) Zodiac.
Raquel is winning this so far.
Quite apart from being a fine film and exactly the image this thread is after, I'm still delighted that whoever did the watches for the Man From Uncle reboot went to the trouble of working out precisely what watch the son of a high ranking Russian in the fifties would inherit from his father. In a genre filled with tired old product placement, Ilya's 50's 34mm blued, screwback centre seconds Pobeda, the twin to the first wristwatch in space (in gold) was a breath of fresh air, especially as it played a slightly central role in the film which could have so easily been a jarring modern watch.
Lordy, David Niven likes his watches! I'm guessing that's a Longines above, but he's got more watches than I have!
Some chap wearing a Paul Newman Daytona.
Cheers,
Neil.
And one more but nobody seems to be sure what the watch is.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
