Just picked up this utter beast, got to say its epic, 14 years old, great fun, cost less than my last watch, there is nothing much to dislike.

A week or so into ownership and I'm loving my second Mazda. More into bikes than cars, it has to be said, but even so it's nice to drive such a competent motor for relatively little cost.

Nice car. 535d is now 540d.

Just leased a new diesel daily myself, for my sins.

This latest edition just arrived, together with a Cooper S to complete the 'package' - delighted (for the time being !)
Gorgeous V8, with active steering and x-drive, a brilliant drive, feels much more nimble that its 5.07m would dictate....

I’m sure they love at Mercedes turning up in a Mini every day!

I love what they’ve done to the electric Mini they’re using as the safety car in formula E this year.

The dog likes it, particularly if we stick her in the back with the top down and her harness/seatbelt on. She spends the drive with her nose to the wind.

Yeah, the hill down into Tavistock is Pork Hill. I’m based over by Burrator reservoir and have driven / cycled that road many times , we were up that way at the weekend with the dog, amazing views.

Purchased this a few months ago, and it's been on the road as of the 1st. Great fun, it's my Dad's old car and couldn't not...

Also got an E91 320D estate to smoke about in, which is going OK!

its that time of year again,i have dragged my triumph 1976 TR7 V8 out of hibernation.i always service it but it only does a few hundred miles a year, the old oil comes out pretty clean.i have owned this for the last 32years.i fitted the 3.5 ltr high compression V8 in 1990 and have increased the power over the years by fitting fast road camshaft,8 branch performance exhaust,JWR inlet manifold with four barrel Edelbrock carb.rear axle differential from a Rover SD1 3.5 auto was fitted giving 30mph at 1000RPM in fifth gear.braking and suspension upgrades were also done.i also carried out a 2+2 conversion when my kids were small.this involved fitting a different fuel tank and cutting out the rear bulkhead to accept a rear seat pan and fitting fold forward leather front seats from a toyota MR2 .my boys are now 26 and 36 and towering over 6ft..the cars scary quick, but still has that lovely V8 rumble which gets the adrenalin pumping, but i do not have the same level of testosterone in my blood at 66 as i did when i built it....

National Mustang day, spent lockdown renovating the interior, bolted the seats back in and took her for a spin.

    So many fantastic cars!

One of my favourite recent memories was driving a friend's 991 GT3 around deserted streets in Los Angeles one summer night in 2019. What an engine! Awesome machine.

The Elan +2 looks amazing in that colour, suits it really well. I owned an Elan for 11 years and have so much love for the Twincam. I liked the car fine, but really loved the engine.
