Not really, but then I'm not drawn to strip lighting and shiny suits so generally avoid ADs like the plague.
Anyone champing at the bit waiting for the gate to drop ?

Doesn't affect me really, haven't been in an AD for a number of years now since it reached the point that I have no interest in the crap in the window and anything I was remotely interested in they wouldn't sell to me anyway. I wouldn't shed any tears if ADs started to fold, most are not exactly customer friendly.
I've got a pair of Kurt Geiger shoes to take back to tkmaxx if that counts? Only to save the return postage though!!
In desparate need for a haircut as haven't had one since October and I'm looking like an overgrown Bush and also in the market for a new TV so will probably pop into richer sounds or John Lewis to take a look. Otherwise, doesn't really make a difference to me

I never go in shops so will make no difference to me.
Cheers,
Neil.
Zoom call last week means no need to visit.
I’m not a fan of the ‘luxury experience’ forced upon you by aspirational A.D.s either, but I do enjoy a browse in your more genuine/enthusiastic jewellers, although harder to find today. Noted that Mike at The Old Watch Shop in Southport has very little stock advertised currently.

I do need to get to Waitrose as out of duchy potatoes. Not planning to get to town as I avoid it like Covid unless absolutely necessary.
I have an appointment on Sunday to register my interest for a watch. Hoping they have a delivery of something nice between now and then.
I certainly am!
There's nothing I particularly need and I've done too much internet shopping lately but I enjoy a browse round the shops so will be doing that soon. Only place I really need to visit is Asics Outlet to stock up on running shoes.
I haven't particularly enjoyed the "covid exerience" at watch boutiques at ADs during this pandemic...all managed by a doorman. Confusion as to if you can go in, what the procedure for mask on/off to show your face on entry, some stores making you glove up...it makes it too much of a palaver to bother with.
May visit some shops tomorrow as we only need:
Lounge furniture
Bedroom furniture
Dining room furniture
Pillows/ cushions / footstool
Garden furniture
Pots Pans
4 pairs shoes , two for me , two for the boss
Just shows we have embraced the spirit of the lockdown, plus sitting on a deck chair in your new house doesn't engender comfort!
Steve
Ps Im watched up though courtesy of SC
Hopefully the shops reopening will lessen the queues at my local tip. That's the priority.
If I never have go to a shop again it would not bother me. Especially a shop that sells jewellery. They are God awful places. The vast majority of shops have nothing of interest for me. The high street chains all sell they same stuff. Oh look a Tag, A Omega and gold Rolex that nobody wants. Decent 2nd hand shops are few and far between now which is a shame. The interesting watches are found on line on forums like this (in my opinion obviously)
I promise I am not a mizog.
I might go and have a look around my local shops. We’ve got 4 or 5 decent watch shops. Hopefully one will have the new Tudor range so I can see them in the flesh.
I’m dropping a Rolex in for service some time this week. I’ll take a look at the new Tudor BB Chronograph if they are in stock.
Have an appointment at my local AD for Tuesday, want to take my seadweller in as it’s due a service. Will register interest and hopefully have a look at a couple of the new tudors.

Never understood the weekend pilgrimage to town centres to buy shit you dont need to impress people who dont like you, I’d rather be out in nature doing something beneficial

An advantage of living in the coutryside/middle of nowhere - not had to queue to get into a single shop or the dump throughout the whole pandemic. I can honestly say I haven’t really missed shops at all, perhaps some of the human interaction but I do wonder how many people will continue to carry out more purchases online

And it's a great big ''NO'' from me, hate shopping at the best of times, riff raff, plebs, great unwashed - I'm an only child.

Could pop in to Goldsmiths and buy a Rolex Sports watch
Not really.
It's been a long time since I looked at watches in a shop, let alone bought one.
I am looking forward to the gym reopening.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Woke up feeling very optimistic about things re-opening. Off to the gym right now, followed by a visit to a couple of ADs. Just to have another look at a couple of watches in real life, and just because I can.
I'm excited about anything that gets us back to normal life.
