Picked this up after seeing one on a friend, love the dial changes depending on light and angle.
Changed the strap to a Hirsch rainbow which suits it better in my opinion.

Yup it’s lumed, but ceramic rather than sapphire (ideally sapphire would’ve been nicer but this was closer to the look I wanted).
A bit of an update, decided to ditch the 7s26 and upgraded the movement to a 4r35, bit fancier with the hacking & manual winding, and the gold rotor adds a bit of flash.
Remaining plans,
- Remove the printed markings from the case back, so its a cleaner view of the movement
- Potenitally rebuild my original FFF along the same lines, but with a 60min insert, along with chucking it in the oven to get that lume a nice creamy color.
First one here i think...the banana monster! Seiko SRPF35K1 Monster

Renewed interest in the 1960s King Seiko 44, I didn’t want to miss out and joined the mini-frenzy.
Really nice case size and shape. Very nice dial which doesn’t come out in the iphone photograph.
A 1968 model, recently serviced and the gold medallion in tact.

Seiko Street series today for me,
I haven't worn this for ages but I'm going for a lockdown rotation this week.

Yes, I saw that. Looked great. Mine has a slightly different gold medallion. Mine is January 1968, yours July from memory. I think medallions and crown designs evolved. Perfect size for me and a departure from my from my usual black faced military watches. Nice clear design, no clutter.

Seiko Samurai today on a Hirsch Extreme. I have had it mainly on a Crafter Blue which isn't (to me) as comfortable as this..
Seconds hand hits every single marker not a tick fast nor slow over 31 hours of ownership! 1987 in unreal condition! Many thanks to Heuerfan!
