There is something about it!
I cycled down to Taunton yesterday and collected this. March 2015, within the last year of production and with 7800 miles on the clock. It's really fun to drive if somewhat agricultural!
Many thanks to Franky Four Fingers (Dudley) who gave me loads of invaluable advice over the last 3 months that I have been looking. Top bloke!

That looks absolutely lovely!
It's just a matter of time...
Great choice and potentially a decent investment.

Clifton suspension bridge makes a lovely backdrop as well.
Very nice. You get used the agricultural nature pretty quickly in my experience.
You will now begin to assemble a list of issues that you need to run through!
I love these cars and that looks a stunner, always tried to convince myself to pick one up but just never fully committed to it...
Absolutely the first thing you need to do is get a BAS remap - totally, utterly transforms the drive. Followed closely by having the chassis treated - Dinotrol, Waxoyl, etc.
Great fun, I miss the two late models I had but they were just too impractical even for a second car or work van.
Nice and a great colour too. Just watch tonight’s freeze when the central locking unlocks but the door doesn’t open... 1 feature of my last 2 I’ve owned.
At least the heaters are good in the newer ones.
7800 miles! Brilliant buy! Enjoy it in good health.

Next job, find your closest specialist. Trust me, you’ll need them :-)
Loved mine utterly, there’s just something about them.
And get ready to start waving at other Defender drivers, heck even the odd full-fat Rangey pilot will give you a respectful nod.
I wish I’d have bought the Keswick green tdci 90/van I lied up 3 years ago.
Nowhere near them now with how much they are, and to be fair, being London/SE based, the ULEZ will put paid to
me getting one in the future.
Stunning looking 👍
that looks extremely clean, last year of production and very low miles, i was also looking at buying a defender 90 around 7 or 8 years ago but didn’t go through with it, regret that decision now
Value for money? Never
Character in Spades? Absolutely.
You either don’t get it, or you love them.

Looks tidy, well worth getting the underside treated with Dinitrol as has been suggested above. Also consider what security upgrades to install as Defenders have a habit of disappearing.
My 90 has the JE Engineering Tune Plus with around 180bhp among other upgrades. Hoping for snow tomorrow so I have an excuse to use it, averaged 600 ish miles per year since purchasing 3 years ago and currently on 22k
Cycled to Taunton, from where?
Cheers,
Ben

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments chaps...now to go out & test the snow that I ordered :-)
I was thinking from the 2nd picture that it looked like Bath. Beautiful part of the world. Itching to get back for a visit when allowed. Lovely car, lovely location.
You should have let me know, I live 10 mins walk from there.
You did well to exclude the crowds from the photos, that bit of Sion Hill is usually stuffed with people.
Nice Defender, i use my dad's 200 tdi a lot. Great tools (but less accomplished if viewed as a car).
Dave
Ps it is Bath that looks like that bit of Bristol.......
It was VERY busy Dave. Especially up near the Camera Obscura. We’d been to a property viewing in Clifton and I parked up near the bridge for the photo opp. I lived in Clifton for 3 years as a student and loved it. My daughter is living in Manor Hall of residence & studying Veterinary
That's lovely.

I saw a new model Defender today. It looked like an overstuffed suitcase, bursting at the seams. Nothing like the previous model.
