I heard the price rise had doubled as Brexit has now happened
Price increase has been postponed because of Brexit, they need to figure out the appropriate markup first.
It'll come in February latest.
15% on precious metal! Wow that’s some hike on a £30k watch. Eeeek

There are a few things at play; along with the ridiculous situation where the value of steel watches is higher than precious metal there's the rising price of gold and the uncertainty over how the £ will go over the next year, Rolex want to cover that off.
15% sounds a lot but if the Brexiteers have it right then we could yet end up with the cheapest Rolexes on the planet!
AD just confirmed to me that Rolex servicing and repairs were subject to a price rise in January 1st.
They say not yet advised of any sale price increases.
How many others raise their prices and no one knows about? In reviews in Watchtime. Every Rolex tested scored in the high 80's to low 90's. Everyone else pretty much in the low 80's
And while not to everyone. Buying a Rolex is seen as success at certain milestones in one's life
It's good to be king.
It's the morning and I could just be babbling
DON
Sorry didn’t ask. I emailed to say “I want my Daytona, Pepsi, Batman and Datejust before the price rise please” and they replied servicing and repairs have gone up but no general price rise yet.
I’m tempted to strangle the AD’s child’s school hamster or at least refuse to join the rota to look after it if they don’t sell the watches I ordered to me soon.
I have the Deep Sea so familiar with how it wears just fancied a different colour. Not sure how much wear it will get worn during lockdown.
I have a list of about 10 to obtain, but the ADs cap your ‘wish’ list at 3 so I typically send them 5 Rolex then the others currently a couple of Omegas and a Zenith and invite them to work their way down.

Any update on this proposed increase?
Also been reported on Rolex Forums.
29th February ?
6% mightn’t cover the cost of the additional bureaucracy post-Brexit.
Even ignoring potential VAT issues, the extra administration is already adding between 5 and 8% to the cost of many goods coming into the UK.
This is all conjecture until Rolex make the official announcement.
Personally speaking I expect it to go ahead. Rolex RRP is way below the grey market value on most models and a 10% increase is well within these limits. Also it strengthens the brand and that is good news for millions of Rolex owners.
Best just to sit back and wait for the announcement.
Recently saw some saddo on eBay desperately trying to punt some brand new uninteresting model by saying there are 2 price increases scheduled this year!
Why would grey dealers not just hike their prices every time Rolex do? In fact, they “have” to, in order to maintain their profit margins.
That said, still blows my mind people paying £15,000 for a mass produced steel watch that retails for £7/8,000. What is the limit for a SS GMT? £20,000? £30,000?!
Wonder if the price rise will coincide with some actual stock availability? If so, I don’t really have a problem with that. If they’re going for price parity with the greys, they’ll need to ensure there’s the same stock availability at the greys.
Gives me a chance to travel to an AD of my choice and buy what I want brand new without the extreme unpleasantness of interaction with my local AD (I have a long memory when it comes to being spoken to poorly).
Quite annoying this - I am after a ladies datejust later on in the year, not like they are hard to get hold of and you can even place an order for one.
I would expect production to increase again after the Covid delays. Most manufactures were affected, and no doubt if you already had waiting lists this would exacerbate things somewhat.
So, it is highly likely that there will be both a price increase, and better availability. Sometime soon ish.
It's just a matter of time...
I've seen you say this a few times now.
I'm not sure what the point is as you must be aware there are quite a few guys on here that have been frustrated in their attempts to purchase certain professional models-David_D being one of them.
I'm not sure how you saying you got 3 in 3 months is really helping them.
I’d say that it shows, which is rather obvious, that the AD’s are still getting and still selling the watches. If you are lucky enough to be in their good books and on a list then you might well get a call sooner than some posts suggest.
I no longer have a relationship with a particular AD, so hold no such hopes of getting a harder to get model anytime soon.
