The Timor Heritage Field Watch which is a re-issue of one of the original "Dirty Dozen" contracted by the Ministry of Defense from 12 watch companies during WW2, is live on Kickstarter. Check out the Timor website at www.timorwatch.com.

But only 50 m water resistance, just seems odd to me with the go anywhere/do anything rough tough vibe of such a watch. That said I guess it looks the part, although 950 gbp, if you don't get on the early bird price seems optimistic, but good luck to them.
You have to remember by WW2 standards these watches would have had light water resistance, unlike todays standards. These watches were essentially beefed up field watches and were by no means dive watches. They were good enough for the Ministry of Defense standard which in turn were issued to some British troops as they did not standardly issue these to all the troops. I am sure that 50m of WR is enough for doing a lot of things. Everyone thinks they need to have 200m or more or the watch is no good.
As far as the price goes I don't think it is bad considering Vertex coming out a couple of years ago with a not so true rendering at around $3200.00 and you had to basically be invited to purchase one. Try finding a nice vintage piece online for less than $1500, so I don't think that its bad at all.
And there in is my point, iirc our host upgraded the WR to 100m on the PRS 10 for that very reason. Not that WR is the be all and end all of a watch, and as KNeadking correctly points out to be historically accurate 50 m is 'authentic', as the subscription shows it is a popular /successful launch. Just wouldn't work for me, too small anyway and bead blasting tends to make them wear smaller ime, but each to their own, though it seems mental to me, to spend almost a 1000 gbp on a so called 'battlefield watch' it is probably best not to risk swimming in.
Thought an image might be nice

This was a long wait but well worth it. Benjamin did an outstanding job with the Timor Heritage field watch.
I have a 7 inch wrist. I believe the reason the watch looks so large is because I took the picture to close overstating the actual size of the watch which is only 36.5mm in diameter and 45.5mm lug to lug, so a very wearable size. I have never been good at photography so this was actually the first time I have ever downloaded a photo to the forum.
Looks superb. And if it wears big, well that’s only a bonus right!?
I like!
Is this available to buy in the UK.
Yes there are 36 hand wound and 1 Auto left https://timorwatch.com/
Timor watch arrived today and i'm extremely pleased with it. Every detail is extremely well thought out, perfectly proportioned and highest quality. It's about as perfect as I could imagine.
Just under 7" wrist. Photo makes it appear slightly larger than real life.
