I've noticed a few things have changed recently.
Annoyingly I've mysteriously stopped receiving email notifications for 'your watched item is ending soon'.
Best I can tell the last time I received such a notification was on 7th October.
Anybody else (not) seeing the same problem ?
I haven't missed anything yet, but it's bloody annoying the way they keep changing stuff without notifying users.
I add a lot of stuff (mostly Seiko 7A38's, etc.) to my eBay watching page, that I have no real interest in buying. Purely out of curiosity.
For this reason, and the fact I was often lax about clearing off ended items, I was frequently falling foul of their maximum 300 items limit.
Some time early last month, they appear to have increased that limit (because I currently have 313 items on my watching page).
I wonder if that is connected ?
I get the notifications still
Again this has happened within the last couple of weeks ....
Because my eBay watching page runs to 300(+) items, I'd always viewed it on the 25 items per page setting (hence 12 pages).
That generally worked out that the first 6 pages were live listings and the last 6 pages were ended items.
So it was a quick matter of jumping from Page 1 to page 6 or 7 to view the latest ended items.
Now I find that my number of items per page regularly defaults to 10 and I have to keep re-setting it !

I’ve had no notifications either. I can’t imagine they did this on purpose as it will impact the sales price and therefore their revenue
I got a notification on a bike about fifteen minutes ago.
Usually get notifications of items sold, seems to still be working at the moment.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Not only do eBay constantly change things (not always for the better!) but they tend to selectively roll out the changes to different parts of their server farm as part of their testing.
So it's entirely possible for two users to have totally different experiences (whether it's receiving emails, the order of search results, etc) at any given time.
Now you mention it I`ve had no notifications of items ending recently, used to be 15mins before the end of sale.
Add to that they now put an eBay reference number in the buyers address when you print postal labels, no idea why though?
Yep - it’s been ages since I last had one.
If you use iPhone/an app just rely on the app, much easier?
