Another moan about Amazon labelling films as '2020'. Saw one (can't remember the name right now) with Gene Hackman in it. "Wow, he's come out of retirement!" ... Unfortunately not; it's actually a film from 2000.
Peanut butter falcon is indeed an excellent feel good family movie.

Really enjoyed Tenet and also going back to the cinema to see big blockbusters.
Just re watched The Last Samurai again.
Probably the 4th to 5th time I've seen it.
I'm a old bugger but the end makes me cry every time
Absolutely must see for anyone.

Also watch Tenet a couple of days ago. As I thought, very confusing. The sound quality and fast dialogue made it very difficult to understand all the context. If you watch it I suggest you pay more attention in the first half of the film. It did spark hours of discussions afterwards and once we understood all the pieces, it was much easier to understand.
We watched 'Molly Bloom' last night and it was very good.
The Big Operator 1959.
A great film about labour racketeering with Mickey Rooney starring as a Hoffa type character.
Right up my alley.
Cheers,
Neil.
+1 for Official Secrets, watched last night with the Mrs and both enjoyed it. Great cast.

In the last week I've had a bit of time, so I've watched Shutter Island for the first time, and really enjoyed it. Very dreamlike at the start, a good air of menace, and some proper scary dream scenes.
Then I watched, again for the first time, Children of Men - another good choice, even if I say so myself. Not too long, too!
I know it’s been mentioned already, but we really enjoyed ‘Knives Our’ a classic whodunnit, Craig’s accent was a little hard to take though.
Cheers..
Jase
Just pretend he's from the same part of the world as Foghorn Leghorn, and you'll be OK!
But yes, excellent film, excellent cast.
I also just watched Peanut Butter Falcon. A lovely little film, with great performances all round.

Watched Tenet last night. Thought it was an excellent film...not quite as good as Inception because the complexity means it’s almost impossible to understand fully on first viewing. After having a read through of the online explanations, particularly the battle scene, I’m now ready for a second viewing. If a film makes you want to watch it twice straight away, it’s got to be good!
For anyone that’s already seen it, worth looking up the extra twist fan theory that’s on quite a few websites...it’s not something that is 100% proven by the film but I believe Nolan intended it to be the case.
Personally, I think the movie is worth more than the 77% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Enjoyed this after watching Magnolia last week... ensemble cast, great screenplay, excellent performance by Mr Burt Reynolds.

Rather splendid little film about an autistic maths whizz, and the folks around him.
Laugh at loud funny in places too with Rafe Spall doing his usual excellent comedic touch.
Just watched Pulp Fiction again. The story about the watch I'd forgotten about. Made me cringe

I watched Soylent Green for the first time a couple of nights ago. As with probably many who haven't seen it before, I'd had it partially spoiled. It was reasonably hammy, but not overly so for the era. I believe it is set in 2022, so may end UK being quite accurate at our current rate!
We started watching Mandy yesterday evening, but my wife found it a too slow. I'll probably try it again on my own at some point over the next month or so. I'm aware it is a bit divisive....
Ive just watched a shit one - Scarface. Shite!

I just watched “old boy” on Netflix. Quite a gripping film but ends up being a bit strange. Worth a watch.

The good liar on sky, very well done
Two great ones this weekend one old one new.
Friday night rewatched Goodfellas which still stands up 30 years on.
Last night I watched the documentary-movie Apollo 11 which was tremendously engaging.
You need to watch the original Korean one.
10x better. Hollywood remake. Just dosn't do it justice.
Same goes for The Girl trilogy although I think Hollywood only made the 1st part which again was rubbish compared to the original.
Obviously you either need to understand the language or not mind subtitled movie's.
I'm ignorant when it comes to other languages but quite happy watching subtitles as much as watching English speaking. Sent from my SM-N960F using TZ-UK mobile app

The original Old Boy is one of those great movies I never want to watch again! Though I think everyone should watch it once. :D
Likewise, I can't believe The Departed won best film for being a western remake of Infernal Affairs with very few plot changes and almost none that actually improved it.
I recently bought the Bluray "Complete Edition" of Das Boot. I hadn't seen it in years, but I really enjoyed it. Took me two evenings to get through the Director's Cut.
In Bruges
Enjoyable this one, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson bouncing off each other quite nicely.
Gay beer, cocaine and guns.
What more could you want?

Danger Close - The Battle of Long Tan. True story gripping stuff!
Mission: Impossible - Fallout
What a belter! Typical twist and turn WTF's going on for the first half then one of the best action countdowns I can think of, total edge of the seat stuff. And Cruise did all the stunts you're watching, the guy has a set and a half.
On Netflix.
Watched Greyhound last night, Tom Hanks doesn't do a bad movie
