It used to that a bubble was only recognised as a bubble after it burst.

Why can no-one see this is a disaster waiting to happen?

Tesla 14.5% dip in last day and a bit trading now, let's see if those easy money new school traders have the balls for it.

It's still above $2,000 pre-split, could lose another 75% from here and be still overvalued.

So what do we think will happen when the market finally catches up with Tesla and the shorters come circling? Steady decline or rapid fall off the cliff?

    Depends.

There have been some activists who have collected evidence of fraud. If and when the SEC would open up an investigation, it would gap down 50% I think. But so far Musk had been untouchable, despite clear evidence of accounting irregularities and massive environment breaches. Trump has singled him out as a genius (from one to another.... ) and I don't see which government agency would start proceedings. That could change if one of the big newspapers would latch on, but hasn't happened yet.

Bought back some short NQ and DJ futures on the early morning dip, still undecided of I leave it at that our try and short again at higher levels.

Long Labour Day weekend coming up, could lead to some position trimming ahead and bounce after? Expect Trump to keep talking about a vaccine before November to prop up the market.

Dunno but if I have to place my bet if Softbank can take on and win versus Mr. Market, I'd rather not be long and wrong. This has the potential to implode big time. BIG TIME.

Softbank don't have the firepower to win this one do they? Just a question of time.

Please excuse me guys but are we saying that Softbank is effectively throwing some very large dice hoping for double 6 ...to mask / mend its losses from earlier investments?.

Hard to contemplate any investor being large enough to errr manipulate downfall of price of the FAANG’s

What is the consensus on outcome ?..

I thought it would be Tesla accounting issues that would bring the merry-go-round to a halt, but maybe this is the trigger?

Many have tried to take on the market. It never had a happy ending. Will that ever change? Maybe.

Having read a bit more ..

It seems Softbank did a major asset sell off to create a 100 billion Cash, some of their major investors wanted them to buy back their own shares or pay down debt......but those tinkers in the Gordon Gekko dept.. donned the red braces asked for use of the cash a few months back and went on a spending spree of puts / options / hedges to the value of err 50 billion involving Microsoft,Apple, Amazon etc ...

Then on Thursday pulled some levers and the shit storm ensued ...i have no idea if Softbank have profited or are in pain, I suspect a mixture..

    What i have learned.......

    1. Go back to wearing a Sub / GMT as a daily as my newly aquired Apple watch showing Amazon share price whilst simultaneously showing my HR is not condusive to my wellbeing.....

    2. I am in control of nothing, As in the market as there’s some big boys with deep pockets that can bend natural market forces .either way to their benefit.

    3. If investing in non U.K. stocks you need to factor in exchange rate ...damn you currently strong pound..haha..

Hey all in all Amazon is back to where it was 14 days ago....roll on Monday
