I realize I'm a bit late to the party here, but since there will be some design tweaking required due to switching to the Ronda movement I thought I'd put forward a white dial "polar" version for consideration. I think a crisp white dial with black borders around the markers would look quite sharp and very legibile.
Maybe somebody who's handy with Photoshop would be kind enough to try their hand at a mock-up?

I like the sound of that idea very much. I'll add to the the entreaty to the photoshop experts and Eddie, please...

Now the baby models are out, and the navigator sounds like it's on the way with the movements being paid for is this any closer to fruition?

I have seen the original and reissue Versions produced by CWC and much prefer the handset on these to the current style. The thicker minute hand imo gives a better balance. I think it’s much more akin to that found on the Omega Seamaster300 vintage model.

I can still do day/date in the black dial DLC model if I use the Seiko NH36 auto. A bit dearer than the quartz but not by much.

That sounds great to me Eddie 👍

Would there be an option for a no date moment like in the newer Everest and the brushed and polished case?

Would the stainless finish version still be available with quartz day date.

No, date only. The day/date quartz was going to be with an ETA quartz until I learnt that their minimum order quantity for quartz is 1000 pieces. I'll stick with the tried and trusty Ronda 715Li with date only and 10 year battery life.

if there is an automatic version, I am in!
I love the look of the 1987 CWC SBS Diver re-issue. But I am not willing to pay 900.– for a Quartz watch.

I'm excited, too, but I'm seeing any updates regarding this. I will definitely go for the ss quartz version in black dial, date no date I don't mind and probably the pvd version, too

Any news on this, in terms of timing, and in terms of what proportion of the drawn range are likely to make it into production?

Been gone awhile. Rhonda 715Li sounds good. Day date preferred, but a 1,000 minimum order for the movement makes no sense (on your end). Not a date-only fan, but on a quartz, it's no big deal.
Day-date with the Seiko auto makes sense; hope it shows up in the stainless case, in any dial color.

With TF's burgeoning reputation I would have guessed a re-issue of the 3 would make sense this year, as CWC seem to want to charge a very large amount more, without improving the specification.

  30. #180
I hope we see this in 2021. I would buy day date or date only.

Hope to see the quartz PRS-3 return this year, any progress to report.

The first ten years of waiting were the worst, and the second ten years, they were the worst too.

I was going to start it next month but I was approached to see if it would be possible to tag a few onto the order with a special dial for a SWAT team. I'l not proceed until he submits the dial and cas back design (or gives back word).

    Hi Eddie
Do you feel able to share what scope of variants you are going ahead with?
I know they are not very "tactical" but some of the colour variants look great, very tempting

Only the back dial will have a DLC case but all others will go ahead with a steel case, including the black.

I had a PRS4 which I liked apart from the bezel action and alignment. If this version fixes that, I think it will be an ideal grab and go diver. The design is tried and tested.

I remember seeing a message by Eddie on some thread about a month ago - saying that the PRS - 3 had been canned.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

"You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em".

I thought that Eddie mentioned the SWAT connection not happening but nothing about the project being canned altogether.

Can I ask whether this is worming its way towards the top of an (admittedly full) waiting list of models to develop?
I still think CWC are leaving a lot of room for a credible alternative.

  48. #198
I will echo sweets' post above - eager for updates on this..!

I'd also second one of the above posters who said a broader minute hand would look more balanced.

Agreed on the CWC point too. Have so far managed to resist buying a new one, but have a WTB out in case one comes up.

Recently added a Broadarrow PRS3 to go with the PRS3LE I already had, and I reckon a DLC of the new version would fit in quite nicely.
