Starting to clear out our double garage and looking for some advice on lighting please.
Considering something like these https://amzn.to/3davazh but I've no idea how to work out how many I need or whether there are better alternatives
Current lighting is 3 bare bulb pendants

I'll measure when I get home but it's a large double with a bit of a side extension

Thats now got me thinking as all my old.strip lights have blown.
What do you recommend as a good option to look at.

I have a 30m2 garage and use two of these: -

They’re great, easy to fit and very well built. Light quality and colour is very good and I tried several others before finding the above.
I have a pair of LED tubes in an old fluorescent tube fitting. I had to remove a lot of the wiring in the fitting to make it suitable but it’s very simple electrics if you’re half way competent.
I also put a couple of cheap LED floodlights in one corner that I use for spraying and was highly impressed so ended up buying 16 of them and running them down either side of the garage too.
At least I can see in there now!
You can just about see some of them
at the top of this photo. I think that painting the walls white will help too.
Painting the walls and ceiling white makes a big difference, well worth the effort.
Screwfix led battens. Can't go wrong.

Led panels, cheap as chips keep putting them up till you are happy, idiographic cool white.
Also painting the walls white makes a massive difference
Look for an on- line lumens calculator, it’ll give you a good starting point. That’s what I’ll do when I’m faced with a similar challenge with the garage my new property will have, but I’ll do the job myself so I can always add more if necessary. I’ll be working on a car, getting light down the sides is always difficult.
It’s hard to be exact tbh. Depends if any natural light etc ?
Best thing buy 3 put them and add if you need more
Choose what colour you like as well
Warm white. Day light or cool white
3000k 4000k 6500k
We sell led battens now that are switchable so they have all 3 colours inside you just flick a switch to change from warm to cool white
Andy
Thanks for that. I may just go for 4 based on it's cheaper to get the extra fitted rather than have my sparkle come back on a separate visit and I can put up with too much light in the garage.
Can I ask what make has the switchable colours please
