I spent the day moving my in-laws belongings into their new flat. They are stuck overseas due to the current situation. When I got home I had a chilled Pilsner Urquell in a frozen glass. Tasted amazing!

A couple of those Shipyard pale ales quenched the thirst very nicely. Seeing as it's dark already and raining with some thunder, time for something a little darker . . .

Right, this week so far...
My search for the best low-no continues. This wasn’t bad, 3 more and I’ll make my mind up on the Untappd score.
This was fabulous. Perfect summer evening starter to whet my whistle!
More Verdant, well, because...
And I might just smash a big DIPA next. Watch this space for that and an SOTC in the fridge of dreams once tapatalk let’s me do some more uploads.
HAGWE all!
I enjoyed this one a couple of weeks back, I must have else I wouldn't have taken a 'photo of it to remember it by. A mate bought it, he doesn't do any online or specialist beer shopping so I presume it came from one of the big supermarkets, taste wise it was like sucking on a peach stone - in a good way!
Zero
For tonight, these two, for now at least. The Pallet Notes NEIPA has been and gone already, a nice enough drop but neither strong enough on the NE front or particularly memorable, that's Left Handed Giant's citra pilsner in the glass. Not quite the pilsner I was expecting, it's more half pilsner half IPA however, much like the Pallet Notes, it's decent enough.
Beer
I picked up a few more cans from my favoured beer shop early this evening, amongst those I bought were a few more from Norway's Amundsen Brewery. There's a very good chance that I'll be pouring myself a Desert In A Can later tonight...
Aldi’s finest for me tonight and it’s a cracker.
Just popped in to the fantastic Beer Shop in Ambleside. Spoilt for choice and have picked a couple for post-hike recovery

Just re-profiled and sharpened my chefs knife to a razor like edge, so time for a refreshment . . .

So impressed with my sharpener, amazing results
There hasn't been an Amundsen that I haven't enjoyed, and this one is no exception. Definitely an indulgence, and maybe too sweet for some, however this is absolutely what it says on the can. At 11.5% just the one will do.
Salted Caramel Choc Chip Cookie
Used to be favourite, I'd forgotten how good it is

Did a bit on the TT earlier, thirsty work . . .
. . . so something refreshing . . .
. . . and now something a little darker . . .

A can but surprisingly good.
Mind you its brewed in Plzen not Bedford.

When in Suffolk....
Just been over to the Co-op for a tasteless cold lager as it is cooking hot in the garden tonight. Four pint size cans of Carlsberg Export has done the trick. As tasteless lagers go this one is comparatively tasty.
This is nice if a bit sweet. It keeps a good head.
Typical - as soon as I finish work and come out in the garden for a beer the sun goes in.
Starting with a Blackshore this evening
...winding down for a few days off work... & building up for the Man City - Real Madrid game...

Very pleasantly surprised to find this in Lidl of all places this evening for their craft beer week. Usually nothing there for us with Coeliacs so I cleared the shelf of these especially at £1.29 a can.
Very rich on the palette with an initial coffee and rich chocolate flavour which gives way to a lovely hoppy bitter after taste. Delicious!
Cheers
Neil
I think that this is my first ever DEYA, certainly from memory anyway. They've set a high benchmark for themselves, this stuff is so beautifully balanced and dangerously smashable, packed with flavour yet light on the palate - a perfect hot weather IPA.

I had my first pint in a a pub with my oldest son on his 18th birthday today (we live in Scotland so unsurprisingly Tennents). Sadly I didn’t take a photo with the beer but here’s the boy/man with an Amaretto. Proud dad moment Attachment 18116

Pressure drop tonight. Probably the best beer I've had all year. Want to give deya a try. If for nothing else the guy used to live in my neighborhood.

I had my favourite light ale at the moment to cool me down . . .
. . . and now something darker . . .
Note to self . . . order some Adnam's Blackshore.

This was a refreshing warm up to mowing the lawn...a great little stout that just happens to be alcohol free (well, 0.5%)
And a little reward for finishing the job...
I only drink non alcohol beers or lagers, so recommendations at no more than 0.5% are very welcome.

Went for a stroll into town earlier and found myself rather thirsty . . .

If low alcohol beer is your thing (I actually prefer the lesser strength stuff <5%)
Small Beer Brewing Co is worth a look. All their beer is low strength.
I had a can of their session beer this afternoon whilst cooking an early Braai / BBQ for the outlaws.
I was very pleasantly surprised. 2.5 % but lots of flavour and very refreshing.
It would make a cracking shandy.
I will be buying more of it.
It's not too bad, but caution advised... They can creep up on you...

This little lot ought to keep me occupied or a few days.
Personally love Peroni or Moretti
