Fantastic shots! I’ve had 2 and sold them and always regret it.
Like you said, it’s an absolute strap whore!!
I will have another that’s for sure!

So a lot lot of talk about Speedy these past few weeks on TZUK and I thought why not share a couple of my favorite watch shots of my favorite watch. Now I've had a few watches over the years, but this one has a very special sentimental meaning to me. I've had cheaper watches, more expensive watches, more special ones but the Speedy Pro will always be my favorite and remind me of the good times (this is the sentimental part). And it's the only watch I have that I don't really care what the value will be in the next years, as long as I have a roof on top of my head and my health, this one stays put. People call it the ultimate classic, and they are right. For more than 50 years the design hasn't changed one bit and it's one of those strap whores that goes well with everything. Well enough about it, here are some shots/wristshots, hope you like them

Great photos! I've tried a few different straps on mine but I prefer the feel of the bracelet.

Stunningly, stunning photos.
I said on another thread that I really should consider getting a Pro at some point. These shots may mean that day comes sooner than planned!
Thanks for sharing them.

Amazing shots, thanks for sharing!
Is this the most versatile watch ever?

Great photos. Annoying, because I've just convinced myself the next one in will be a Black Bay, then you post those absolute beauties. Enjoyed the use of "strap whore" as well.
Fantastic Nono, you are extremely talented and your photography style is innovative. Do you work in the arts or is this just a passion, because Omega needs to hire you!
If any photos could try and make you hold onto a watch......
These are those.....
Fantastic shots as always! Thanks for sharing.
I always think tan straps work really well on a speedy but that green strap combo works too - any more details on the strap?
Amazing photos. I have tried nato straps (plain ones) but always end up coming back to the bracelet.
Get some ideas for natos to try.

Great shots, the Speedy Pro is the most versatile watch for straps ever.
I particularly like the green NATO with the yellow stripe.
Cheers..

Amazing photos, thanks for sharing.
I am only recently building up my watch collection but my first expensive watch was also a speedy pro and it was a present from my wife (well I chose it but she knew I was after a watch for years) on becoming a father. So plenty of sentimental value for me as well!
I have never tried changing the straps as I am too petrified of doing something to it. Is it easy?
Stunning photos and selection of straps. One addition I would nominate is the Forstner mesh band, which looks killer on the Speedy Pro!
Fantastic shots, reminds me I need to go out and buy more straps

Great pictures as normal! These photos make me pine for my Speedie back. Yet when I had it I admired it yet rarely wore it!

You know what they say, third time's a charm
Can't agree more!
Thank you my man!
Thank you. Most versatile ? I think it lacks some features for this, but one of the bunch, it really is.
Haha, tnx man!
Thank you Mondie. And no, I'm not a photographer, just a hobby to keep my mind occupied :) . And thx for the Omega tip, I'll keep that in mind
Thank you!!!
Sure, it's the green NATO from cheapestnatostraps, you can find it on their website
Great way to start the collection. And as for changing the straps, it really is easy. All you need to have is a quality springbar tool like Bergeon 6767-F
Thank you again Guys for all your comments. Here few older ones, same theme but different angles. Cheers
Wow cracking photos there !
These are beautiful shots. I’d love to know your setup.
A speedy pro (and a dive watch - no idea what) is next on my hit-list. This is helping!
Please stop posting great photos of the Speedy. I sold mine a number of years ago (before big price rises and with an additional mitsukoshi dial) because, on bracelet, it was just a touch too large for me. Why didn’t I just buy a Nato!!!
Really great photos. I haven't ever owned one bit did buy one for my brother for his 40th. I'd love to add one to the collection one day, but probably an older tritium one.
These are absolutely outstanding photos. You really need to get them watermarked and copyright protected Nono.

Gorgeous photos; also one of my favourite watches, a classic that never looks dated.
Thank you Guys!
"What can you do in 14 seconds?!" ;)
That 'desert tan' nato looks the business!
I can’t think of another watch that responds so well to a variety of straps, especially NATO’s. It’s just such a stunning looker, which doesn’t age.
Not the most waterproof, not incredibly tough, slightly awkward manual wind. But just look at it....consider the history. It’s a stone cold killer.
As others have said, absolutely incredible photos! Very impressive!
Out of curiosity, what's your photography set up? What lenses do you use etc?

To be honest, it wasn't my favorite combo in my head, but once I strapped it on, I can't seem to stop wearing it. It's one piece, so paired that with slim Speedy case (for a chrono), it makes a super comfy piece on the wrist.
Quite true, and partly because it hasn't really changed for over 50 years. Why change something so classic and good? And take any Speedy, be it ck2998, 145.022 or the newest model...they are all cool the same. A Speedy is a Speedy. Yes, there are a million versions, be it vintage or L.E., but you could walk in any GTG with Pateks, Newmans and Oaks on the table with your Speedy strapped to your wrist, and anyone in that room will think "now that's a great watch!".
First of all, thank you.
Well my setup is very basic, I use Canon 750D with Canon 60mm Macro f/:2,8 lens, but the light is the key. I try to use as much natural light as possible and normally shot in well lit room with white walls to get that lightbox effect. But now and then I have to light up certain areas, so I'll use a halogen 5600k softlight bulb and usually a reflector or two for highlight these dark areas of the case.
Just to say @Nono, I really enjoy your threads. Great watches, stunning pictures & you sound like a nice dude. Thanks & keep posting those sweet pics.
Stunning pictures, really well done.
Very nice pics
Excellent images. Is this the sapphire crystal model? Never seen that Omega sign in the centre before
Tnx man. I photograph other watches as well, so the Speedy doesn't see the lens that often, but I'll update this thread as much as I can
Tnx Guys!
Thank you. The crystal is hesalite actually (plastic), same as original Speedy's from '50. The hesalite is distinguished by that Omega logo from the underside of the crystal, the Sapphire models (the only exception is the new Ed White 321) don't have that and they can be recognized by looking at the edge of the crystal. The Sapphire one has that 'milky' ring surrounding the dial. Check the photo, left is sapphire, right is hesalite
Brilliant photos , I’m in the honeymoon phase with my new speedie !
What fantastic photos! The speedy seems to transcend time and trends, your photos show that it is somehow both old and new and that’s why those who love them, really love them!

Dammit! Nono I sold my Speedie and was happy with the decision and your pictures are making me regret it more and more! Excellent photos as always. That desert NATO is a bomb love it!

I think my speedmaster is the first watch I've really bonded with. I can't seem to wear anything else
145.022-71.. You can dress it up with leather, put it on a NASA spec Velcro or sharpen the look with a bracelet..
Speedmasters really are the king straps!
Uh oh... I might be on the lookout for my 3rd attempt... Some of these pics really make me want another!
Wow, thanks for taking these photos.
I'm not very active with this "hobby" anymore but I do still have a Speedy and this just reminds me how awesome it is!
