I'm afraid the term "growler" has negative connotations for me. ;-)

Gluten free IPA - discovered because it was all they had left in M&S during the lockdown. But it turns out it’s lovely, and feels a bit lighter and less bloaty than the regular kind too.
Cheers!
The roll of honour since last I posted...
Thank me later

The phrase that comes to mind is depth of flavour! Delicious

Had these yesterday, Horsforth one tasted a bit Sol/Carona with piece of lime in , nice and refreshing.
Northern Monk one had savoury taste even with sour zing.
Got this one for Mrs T , sweet peach with raspberry sour finish , very good.

Oooh left me think about this

I spied the Mrs doing an online order with Sainsbury's so had a quick peruse of their beer section to see if anything different caught my fancy and ordered 4 bottles of their own London Porter. It'll arrive Thursday evening and looking forward to trying it.
"A satin-smooth and silky traditional London-style porter, produced by Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer. Sticks of liquorice, added to the rich roster of dark malts, give this dark beer a black cherry, plummy aroma. On the palate, the full-bodied yet quenching beer delivers chocolate and prune flavours and a long smoky finish. It is brewed with charred malt and English hops to give a truly unique flavour."

I should imagine it will be a nice drop
Anything by Shepherd Neame usually is.
Spitfire is a bleedin good bitter, their IPA packs a real wallop - it’s the closest you can get to the beers sent to troops in India back in the day.
Have a search for their Whitstable Bay Black stout. That’s a good one as well.
Lovely IPA from a brewery bang on form

I've had the Spitfire a lot over the years, it's a popular ale in the pubs around here. I'm sure I've had the Whitstable Bay stout, and if I have that would probably be in the Bridge Hotel in Newcastle. The Hatherwood bottled ales that Lidl sell are made by Shepherd Neame.

Not working tomorrow so I'm starting with this and have Burnt Mill's Dank Mode lined up for seconds.
Verdant
Every time I scroll through this thread I think to myself that I need to get a set of proper beer glasses... If anyone has a pointer or two as to where I might be able to get my mitts on some quality glassware it would be appreciated.
Seconds...

Bloody love that one from Verdant. Polished off my last one at the weekend.
On the glassware, one choice for me, Spiegelau. They do various craftbeer mix packs.
I bought this recently:

They also do this one which is a 3-glass pack:

Monday to Wednesday are no/low alc nights. I like Punk AF and have wanted to try some others, so this was an obvious choice. Sure it’s thinner and lighter than a “normal” pale, but it’s very good. Smashed it down in about 15mins. 12-pack ordered from Ocado!

Just as I run out a neighbour gives me a local brewery who delivers.
Just disappointed that no one told me (and I didn't think to ask) that they were 330ml bottles not the full pint. Hope they are tasty.
I did a small favour for a neighbor (steady) and he kindly rewarded me with this from the Allendale Brewery. It's gluten free. What a tasty refreshing bottle of ale, quite zesty and with a great beer taste. I think he said it was from Morrisons so I may have a pop in if I am ever across that part of town.

Well, here's a glass to raise in memory of Roger Ryman, RIP.

I'll be cracking a few of these open tonight...

Busted Knuckle from Janesville. The label says “Irish Style Ale” followed by (BEER) in all caps and parentheses
One of my favourite local brews - an annual release I always look forward to. Not bad for a Spurs fan....
Need to choose 2 or 3 of these for later, with something lighter to put the inner fire out first . . .
There's a bottle of Robinsons Old Tom lurking in the stash as well, quite cheeky at 8.5%. Could be interesting when I arise at 6.30 am tomorrow!

Definately a DIPA however not quite as dank as the name would suggest, which was a shame as it's a flavour profile that I really enjoy. A 3.9/5 from me, good but just not what I was expecting.
This Polly's was a little better and was the last can from the fridge on Wednesday night, I shall be restocking on Tuesday as my beer shop is closed on Mondays. That's no problem as I'm on nights tonight and over the weekend.

A new one to me and pretty local.
Very nice it is too. Hoppy but nicely malty too. This isn't going to hang around for long.
After a very hot and sweaty hour's pedalling on the turbo this is barely touching the sides . . .
