I just googled cal12 movement photos https://www.tagheuer.com/gb/en/tag-h...alibre-12.html as you see it has 2892A2 engraved near balance wheel, so I assume TAG might not remove movement manufacturer marking.
Hi I'm in need of some advice regrading the Tag Calibre 12 movement I know its based on a SW-300
My friend has got one and I spotted next to the hairspring SW-300 stamped on it but I'm sure Tag
Would remove all evidence of this or I'm wrong
If not I think he may of been sold a high end fake with the correct movement but could be wrong
Can somebody please enlighten me
Many Thanks

Tag Heuer do not remove the ebauche signature on their movements.
The calibre 12 was supplied with either ETA or Sellita movement + Dubois Depraz module on top, so I do not think the SW-300 mark is necessarily a cause for concern.
Nothing to worry about. All ebauches and complete movements made by Sellita will have the model number engraved.
