Sounds good. After work might be a bit difficult but a Friday night or weekend would be easier.
No firm plans in mind but as an expression of interest, anyone interested in a meet up around the Ruislip area?
A few drinks or a meal? I know there are a few members around here. Let me know and if there's a want, I'll sort something.

Once we've set up this expression, Members will be required to attend other, less desirable GTG's. Then, after a few years, they may be invited to join the list to wait for a place on this one. They must turn up covered in stickers that will be removed before they can leave though.

I am, great idea. Thanks.
I could make the trek to West London, keep me in the loop!
I live nearby and might be tempted but depends on date and time
Could possibly be interested depending on the dates

I'm interested, depending on dates.
Depending on dates, I’m in.
On the other side too, but up for it if dates work!
Count me in (subject to date, wife, Covid-19, etc) - I’m local.
Interested, depending on date/time.
Nice idea, if dates work for me would love to attend.
Interest here depending on dates.
Incidentally I was in CS Bedford (AD on the High Road) the other day and they have a good array of watch stock. Notably a sizable Seiko display but also Longines, Ball, Corum and a nice used selection. Maybe worth a visit on the way through.
Think a few of us will probably pop to the AD beforehand?
I know them quite well so was going to ask if they could host us all for an hour or so to see what they've got. Once a date is firmed up, I'll speak to them.
Although short notice, I've just had something this Sat coming cancel so am free. Failing that, it'll be after Easter.
I could do this Saturday if that works out for others. I think depending on time a few of us might use it as a good excuse for a mini ride on the bikes.
This Sat is doable for me
Spoke to Rob and he's ok to have us there this Sat. I'll see who else confirms then make a plan from there. Assuming it doesn't end in a drunken mass brawl, I'm sure we can make it a semi regular meet up for those that's can't make it this time.
As Martyn said also, he'll do 20% off for forum members so if you're in a buying mood, bring your credit card!
Oh and could people interested please PM me a your number and I'll start a WhatsApp group up. Probably better that the finer details aren't on a public forum!
Cheers Dave will PM you now. I called them earlier and have a Seiko on hold for Saturday.
Hi Dave, I can’t make this Saturday but would definitely be interested in coming to the next one. CS are my AD too - been dealing with Rob and co for years.
Ok, sponge brain and all that The reference to Bedford confused me but google has once again saved me
Dave have sent you a PM
Unfortunately cannot make this Saturday, but definitely interested in the next one.
Dave if you don't mind I'll drop you my number if subsequent meets are easier to organise off the forum.
Can't make this Saturday but could be interested in future meets.

WhatsApp group set up. Anyone else interested, PM me and I'll add you.
Next time, we'll leave more notice time!
I can't do this Saturday as I'm hosting a Murder Mystery Party for a bunch of teenagers
Hope you all have a great time.

I can't make it Saturday, I'll be eating in Ruislip with friends.
Have fun and lets see any watches purchased on this thread.

Likewise; known them for over 30 years & was in the other day. Rob mentioned the GTG; unfortunately I'm busy this week but keep me in mind if it moves to another date as I'm often in West London.
..along with watches they have sorted me out 2 sets of engagement and wedding rings; they have offered me a good for a third set but I think I've learnt my lesson (twice)!!
I don't know whether this GTG happened, but the Murder Mystery Party for the girls certainly did. A splendid time was had by all and it turned out that the timing was fortuitous.
Painton Place is an 18th-Century house built by Sir John Painton, the first baronet, in Rutting-on-the-Rise, a beautiful if isolated corner of Norfolk. It's just the place to spend a couple of days on a cooking holiday - a weekend mini-bake, as it's advertised. But the rural tranquility is shattered when celebrity chef Francis 'Franny' Craddock is found dead late on Saturday night. Particularly when it turns out that he's been murdered.
Suspicion falls on the guests. But who would have wanted to kill him? And what does this have to do with the legendary Painton Plunder, supposedly brought back from India by the eccentric fourth baronet, Sir Richard Painton?

Haha, that looks like great fun!
Yes it did, smaller numbers but hopefully looking to make it more a regular thing as and when we can in the future 👍
Sorry! Forget about this thread, life has taken somewhat of a turn since then!
As Bluebird said, smaller than expected due to a couple of people self isolating but a good time. Hour or so in Bedfords, then a couple of drinks followed by a meal. Won’t be saying that sentence again for a while :(
Once the dust has settled, we’ll do another for sure.
Yes, it was really good to meet some of you. While we had very few attendees, it was certainly a good call to go ahead despite the short notice as we don’t know when the next one will be possible.
