Given it's already been renewed for Season 2, the producers and broadcasters must be pretty confident.
So clever my foot fell off.
I didn’t know the expression but I ‘ll keep it for future reference

It must be me but I don’t remember 7 of 9 in TNG, only in Voyager.
Still glad she’s around though.

Watched the latest episode yesterday, still hooked. Just wish they’d release all the episodes so that I can watch a few in one session.
I presume that when the series finishes I could join Prime for 1 month and watch the lot?
just been rewatching Extras ......the Patrick Stewart episode is excellent.... well worth watching again
Cracking episode this evening!
It's all starting to build...
So clever my foot fell off.
Just watched the latest episode which was most excellent and am really looking forward to next Friday. Still wish I could binge watch a few episodes together.
Much better... finally! I think binge watching would have made it so much better.
The scene trying to get Picard diplomatic permission was really good fun.

Haven't seen the latest episode but i love it, last episode was excellent it can only get better, shame my kids might never understand how cool it is
I watched the first episode, and then I've been watching in 2 episode blocks. Been enjoying it a lot, and I'm looking forward to watching it next week.

Only watched the first episode so far and truth be told found it a bit slow and am in no hurry to return to it. Does it get better?

I'm watching it in 2 episode chunks and very much enjoying it. It's a slow burn, but worth it.

Fantastic episode tonight. The scene where Picard and Ryker are reunited - I had a tear in my eye on more than one occasion...
Best line of the night was from Troi, "You need to be Jean Luc Picard".
That's the real story of the series.

Is anyone else finding Dr Agnes and Raffi a bit, well, overacted? Also, for some reason, Dr Agnes makes me think of Ensign Tilly from Star Trek: Discovery.
I haven’t thought that at all, although I think there is much more to be revealed about both characters.
I do sort of see the Ensign Tilley comparison but it’s superficial I think.
An interesting point is that Picard is constantly referred to by other characters as “Captain”, never “Admiral”, which I am sure is intended to reinforce his rediscovery of who he was and still really is.

Yes, and there is a related over-egging of the script. A lot of screenwriters these days seem to think they're Joss Whedon. They're not.
However, in this case it's pretty minor (especially compared to Discovery). So far it isn't ruining the series for me, but it does grate on me a bit. Compared to the quality of writing in TNG, the difference is night and day.
This is a bit rubbish, but the fact it exists at all illustrates the point: Shakespeare or Picard?
Just watched this weeks episode, really enjoyed the reunion.
I’ve personally found Agnes’ character to be OK. She’s a civilian in space with something that’s ripping her apart from within, so can understand why she jolts around.
The show reminds me a little of the Bond reboot from Brosnan to Craig in a way. Suddenly you have characters with inner lives, crosses to bear, light and shade - proper acting. Patrick Stewart was always a serious actor of course, but TNG was a bit of a pantomime compared to this. It’s Star Trek for grown-ups. Even Diana Troy is relatable, and Number One suddenly feels like a real person instead of an inflatable.
Very enjoyable and I’m happy to hear talk of a season 2.
I’m really enjoying the series. I must say I was disappointed by Riker’s actions - he should have been far more supportive to his old Captain. Let’s hope Worf rejoins the party!
Didn’t they do a study which found that spoiling didn’t actually spoil and actually enhanced the overall watching experience and made you pick up things that you’d normally have missed?
I actually just checked Prime but nothing yet :(
3 episodes in and not one ewok or sniff of a wookie. Disappointed

Just watched it, certainly picking up the pace, can't wait till next week.
Interesting that Ríos used to be on a star ship with Mike Pence for captain.
Very slowly picking up the pace, in fact boring in parts.
