Got it for 10% off Japanese MSRP plus a bit (tax service charge) so probably translates to around 19k jpy...
For me it’s the skx007 , I paid £125 at the time ( 2016 ) and still love it

One of the oldest watches in my collection these days and remains one of my favourites
My work watch is a Beaver Saturn. Second hand off ebay. It can't have been more than £15
Orient Excursionist, under £100. One of my favourites and the one I wear on holiday/at the beach/swimming
P1060899
my work watch, built with selected parts from far eastern ebay sellers and a miyota 8215 movement from cousins..

Absolutely, one mans definition of a cheap watch is another mans definition of an expensive watch. The average full retail price of my collection is about £250, so I define a watch with a retail price of less than £100, inexpensive. I have invested in loads of bargains, but I don't consider them cheap watches, they are just good finds. The one pictured cost me about £80, and is unlikely to ever cost much more. It has an NH35 movement, sapphire glass, and a very good leather strap. I have a fair few of this type of watch, so choosing this one was quite hard
That's a very nice looking combination for not much money. Applies to most of the Parnis watches I've seen, although the majority are design copies of much more expensive watches. Seiko 5 seem to be getting a lot of love on this thread too.

Great value watch. Was my first hand wound watch and my first Swiss Made watch. I bought the date version from Jomashop here in the United States for $279.00 early 2019 but really never liked a date on a watch so I sold it late last year for the same price on Ebay and purchased the brown dial version with the ETA 2801-2 movement for $319.00 from Jomashop. Can't really think of a better value than my Hammy.
Funny to see so many SKX007’s on this thread. I picked mine up from the trade up fundraiser and have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. I’m now looking at other seiko divers including the Baby MM300 since I now know the 44mm size wears a lot smaller than the dimensions would suggest.
I remember when SKX and Monsters were discussed so very often on the forum, back when I’d joined. Seems less so today, but great watches.
Still got my worn twice Monster Gen2 sitting in the wardrobe. Never quite got on with the look but kept it just in case I did, and once it made its way to the wardrobe it never got worn!

For me it has to be the SKX013, perfect mid-size. 120 click bezel, 200m. Meets ISO 6425. On an oyster bracelet, it the best watch I’ve owned £ for £. Better than Patek, Rolex. The only watch I covet more is a BP FF 50th anniversary
This apex was about 50 with a years subscription to diver magazine.
Seiko quartz put it on a strapcode I had.
They were cheap back in the day. I remember getting a Monster Gen 2 from Creation for £120 odd and the SKX 007 /009 were about £135.
Seiko just kept putting prices up and up all the time and the used prices for Monsters now is stupid.
Seiko were good value back then, now they are overpriced but people still pay.
Divex divers.
For me it's my 7002 I picked up for £80.... probably a little Franken. Plus it loses a minute a day but????? I love it

I guess the SKX399 I bought for maybe 150 quid few years ago... Nice step up to SKX007 for the money at the time
Pagani Design Sub.
Incredibly well built and at 43 mm larger than usual sub homages. Seiko NH35 inside so it can be easily modded.
The Orient Kamasu have definitely exceed my expectations, something I haven't looked at in the past but now very impressed. As well as the previous Ray and Mako models too.
Looks very nice on that strap, can I ask where you got the strap from?

Have to +1 this. I have a couple of SKX007s - one K series and one JDM one (not sure I see a lick of difference, except the '21 Jewels' on the dial and I do believe they are made in the same factory in Malaysia).
Proper dive watch, meets ISO 6425. Fun to mod when you get bored.
But I've fallen for the SKX013 I bought recently. Love the 38mm size.
My Lanco always seems like far more watch than it cost.

This thread got me wearing my SKX013 again. Now on a ‘tropic’.
