Nice pics, Enoch. Thinking of a little trip into Wales myself - perhaps tomorrow.
Great pictures, was nearly tempted to get mine out today!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Enoch , Those car parks look chocka full!
Thanks for the pictures. Got me thinking about a 2nd bike now haha
Can I join in..

Managed to lose my Indian key on its first trip to work on Friday.
Train/taxi/spare key/taxi/train joy.
Living the dream.
Tiger on the prowl.
When I bought the Bonneville that I customised, it was a stolen/recovered from the insurance disposal people, Copart.
As such, it's ignition barrel had been ripped out to hotwire it, and one of the first decisions I made was to convert it to RFID keyless ignition, rather than replace the barrel. It seemed like an upgrade and cost about the same (Ł115 for RFID from Motogadget, and a new barrel and keys from Triumph was Ł125).
Now I simply wave the RF key at the right part of the bodywork and I am on my way, with the key firmly zipped into a pocket.
What's more, because most of the relays and such are now hidden deep under the tank, my bike would be almost impossible to hotwire now, unless you ripped all the body and tank off to find the right bits to twist together.
Keyless entry is a genuine bonus that I shall retrofit to every bike I will own now, it is so much better.

Recent ride... original genre creator and new kid on the block.
Ah yes he turns out some real sparklers. I have two Moorespeeds to put together in the garage... kinda wish I had just bought a completed one from Gary at times. Imagine taking a basic then adding a few more centimetres via longer front forks, extended swing arm and longer rear shock. However on the upside I don’t feel cramped!
To give you an idea...
Great job!!
Prevention is ALWAYS better than cure.
I do this at least a few times a year to all my bikes.
A good quality copperslip grease on the reverse of the pads.
Then use this stuff on the piston seals.
Unlike copperslip, this high temperature grease won't cause the seals to swell or degrade.
Absolutely brilliant stuff, about Ł20 a tube which will last forever. (Mines 1989!!)_
In my (ex) professional opinion that's not such a great idea. Brake piston seals rely on flex to pull the piston back in after the brakes have been released. If the seal slips because you greased it you run the risk of the brakes not releasing properly. Plus grease is a grit magnet and nothing wrecks seals faster than grit ingress. YMMV
I just remove the pads and pump out the pistons a little, then clean the lot with a toothbrush and brake cleaner. Squeeze the pistons all the way back in and reassemble. I would never grease brake pistons except with red rubber grease when I'm rebuilding the thing with new seals, even then I'd preferably use brake fluid.
Interesting that you would use brake fluid as when rebuilding the caliper with new piston seals. BMW have experienced huge problems on the 2018 onward 1250 GS with the new Hayes front calipers. Reportedly these were assembled by Hayes using brake fluid to assemble and insert the pistons and seals, result, the brake fluid crystalised, damaged the seals and has caused the calipers to weep brake fluid.
New mod/accessory for you Tony

I could do with another bike in the garage, anyone selling anything interesting ?

I booked a trackday at Brands Hatch for this Saturday... Now storm Dennis seems to be on the way!!
Will head over to Brands regardless but judging by the forecast I don't think it will be a day for lots of knee down action!

Just been offered a choice of Street Triple 765RS or the latest Speed Triple as a courtesy bike when I’m getting mine serviced next week. Pleased to say the least. Will be taking the Speed, always fancied a go and have already tried the RS.
I do.
But I need to sell my Spitfire first

My GS is in the dealers for warranty work and the loaner is this S1000XR:
Without doubt, a bit of a weapon which certainly encourages the inner hooligan as the acceleration (and noise) is a bit addictive - to say the least.
I found myself wanting to change up out of 6th gear all the time and I'm not sure I'd want one as an only bike but I have to say I love riding it.
Spec-wise, it has almost double the horsepower of my own four cylinder motor...
Well, I thought I should update this thread as - for a good while, at least - I'm finished with the mods. Some Oberon Performance bar ends went on today as well as a Sargent seat pod, and all I really want to do now is upgrade the rear shock; however, I'll probably try to get a good summer of riding in first and then make a decision. I've also decided to keep the rear subframe on, at least until after the Matlock trip planned for May. It was disappointing to learn that the bike without the subframe will only take 8kg of luggage on the rear seat, and I don't really want to faff of removing/replacing it repeatedly.
Anyway, the aggregated list of mods now looks as follows (I'm far too scared to add up what I've spent):
• BMW DWA alarm system
• BMW heated grips
• Custom black/orange Scrambler seat
• Dart windshield
• Evotech oil cooler guard
• MachineArt X Heads engine covers
• Oberon Performance bar end mirrors
• Puig front fender extender
• Puig rear hugger
• R&G tail tidy
• Rizoma fork sliders
• Rizoma swing arm license plate holder
• Sargent seat pod
• Unit Garage rear rack (removed for now)
• Unit Garage slip-on exhaust
• V-Trec brake and clutch levers
• Wunderlich sidestand extender
• Wunderlich tank pad set
A few photos...
