Still liking Armani 'Stronger with You', and Boss 'The Scent'. Different enough to alternate for a change.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Vibrant Leather, very reasonably priced and is a favourite of mine as is Opus 1870 by Penhaligons.
”nose blindness” is a thing. Whilst you can’t smell it others still can. This is borne out by acres of consumer data (I work in the fragrance industry so have a reasonable idea of what I’m talking about).
The development of things like the 3volution air fresheners was intended to overcome this phenomena by cycling between different olfactive directions in the device to overcome the familiarity and thus non-recognition of the fragrance.
Gaultier le male best of all time for me.
Tom ford Black Orchid the absolute worst. Absolutely vile, it knocks me sick.
Olfactory fatigue is the technical name for when the fragrance stops smelling, or “nose blind” that’s why someone with body odour don’t know how bad it smells, or smokers don’t notice their clothes smell like a dead person.
Back of neck, behind ear and/or on the back of the right hand work for me, and I notice the fragrance comes and goes
I splashed on the real thing last year, having tried Fine Platinum which is an AS splash more that an EDT but followed your advice and have just received a bottle of No9. It's very, very close indeed and cost £13.25 on Amazon. There's maybe a slightly more floral scent in No 9 but at £240 less, I'm convinced!
Thank you for that hint.
Since they sent a sample with my main purchase Creed Green Irish Tweed
BRUT - why settle for less?
More seriously, Penhaligons have new scenes quite frequently, and there are also the classics they stock. The quality is excellent. Different price depending on whether it's eau de t, or cologne.
For a scarcer fragrance try Amouage (they do men's). Their production is impressive and of a very high standard using many naturally distilled oils, extracts etc.
Probably quite common, but I’m really enjoying Terre d’Hermès EDP at the moment.
Oh, and Chanel Allure Homme Sport.
This is getting sprayed on in preference to the others at the moment...

Old school now. Have been using for many years. Givinchy gentleman and the old style eau sauvague.
Not the stuff in the black bottle bought for me in error this Christmas.
Not as fresh as the old one but not bad.
Anything new and sealed does me fine...
L'Occitane is the nicest daytime scent I've used and you can use it quite liberally without overpowering.
For evening out I wear Hermēs Voyage EDT which is supposed to be unisex but I think it's quite manly. The Voyage parfum is very feminine so make sure you order correctly!

bleu de chanel
but I don't buy any now because over the years the laws have force these companies to reformulate when certain things were restricted or banned from use.
they charge the same but they have become lesser and lesser products that fade quicker and are not worth their money anymore IMO.
I could be wrong however
Creed Himalaya is my current favourite, along with Channel Bleu.

Zara have extended the Vibrant Leather collection with a few variants, and has 20ml “tasters” for £5.99, a selection of 20ml’s for £25 and gels/hand creams etc.
Well worth trying.

They have also got a new collection called “Country Exclusive” that’s worth a try. I bought the True Leather and was suitably impressed. At £15.99 for 80ml it punches far far over its pricepoint.....
^edit your swearing, bossman will ban you otherwise. Swearing is not allowed outside the Bear Pit.
I’ve not quoted you for obvious reasons.
Dior Sauvage for me, well its what Mrs SiSetts likes on me.

Still Bleu by Chanel here. Really like it.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Wafts from the Loft and Haeckels Pegwell Bay currently being enjoyed. Gravitas is a nice change though.
^Spotted Aramis there. I haven't used Aramis in years and think I may need to revisit.
I recently got samples of Amouage Interlude and Reflection. The Interlude is very nice but very powerful, even with two light sprays from the tester.
Aramis was my first ever purchase, Barajas airport duty free Christmas1976, I can still smell the airport every time I wear it lol although reformulations over the years have taken lots away... but thats life...
Hardly wear the Creeds now, Aventus, Santal, Green Irish Tweed, on my second bottle of Bois Du Portugal was a favourite for a while, Ensar Oud Crime of passion, Montale Incense, Robert Piguet Casbah, 4160 Tuesdays all get a look in. Lots of Chanel Bleu to get through, I think I have enough to last a while lol...
I have many, many fragrances, but the one that gets the most comments is easily Roja Dove "Danger"

My favourite by far, though my wife prefers Acqua di Parma.
Afternoon All
Recently brought Creed Aventus and I found you don't smell it on yourself , but everyone else can you really do only need 5/6 squirts, I do have the Zara Vibrant Leather which is very close to Aventus as is Al Haramain L Adventure, which is very close and around £30 for 100ml
At the moment Er indoors is Fizzing at the Bung Hole over Tom Ford Ombre Leather which has to be smelt to be believed...
Cheers
I really like the Malin & Goetz fragrances
Have been wearing the Bergamot for a while but recently bought the Leather in a candle and its amazing

Mrs rjm recently bought me Ombré and it’s outstanding. Great deal here as well:-

£102 for 100ml and a 10ml travel size (it’s £120 for just the 100ml)
Eau de la ferme seems to work for Helen Skelton with Rob and Dave from Cannon Hall Farm!

Highly recommended over on Pistonheads. I've bought some Creed Aventus from him, excellent service.
