Only for purchases from authorised AD’s within the last two years.
Putting pressure on grey dealers? Although these must be getting their stock ultimately from Panerai...
yep thats how i see it ,max 8 just extended by 6
I wonder what will have a bigger effect on Panerai sales - the extended warranty or the outstanding pics on the “Not your average safe queen” thread!

PS really pleased to see Panerai offer this warranty as I do think it will help get some extra interest, particularly in helping tempt back people who may have been previously put off by the rumbles of sub-optimal QC etc.

The warranty is extended to 8 years in total. I have just registered my 720 and 721 and it shows they are under warranty until August 2016. Peace of mind.
As to warranty work, I have twice had to send a timepiece back to Panerai, once due to water ingress and once for regulation. Each time under warranty. The service was first class, well on a par with Rolex, exceeding in the case of the regulation as they carried out a full service foc, filled in service book and printed list of all work carried out.
Time lag was a bit long, and communication pretty much non existent, just to balance the picture a little. But overall a big positive from me.

They could make the warranty for 100 years but until they get on top of the service department, which has been widely criticised and ensures that every watch that is serviced by them gets back to the owner without fault, then this increase in warranty is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.
Sounds good to me, extra 6 years warranty for nothing, what's not to like? I'm sure for every horror story there's plenty of people who were happy with the service, it's only the horror stories that get spread over the internet.
I'll be registering my 692 once I can find the box/card.
Had my 312 serviced by Wempe in Bond Street (where I bought it) couple of years ago, never had any problems but not sure if they actually sent it back to Panerai/Richemont or carried out in house. They did give me extra year warranty though over standard and it looked brand new and has been faultless.
When one of my PAMS need a service I'll happily take into the London Boutique and give it a try.
Does anyone know when Panerai introduced warranty cards? I bought my 692 in December 2018 but I did not get a card, just the warranty booklet which has the serial number etc and signed by the AD. Same for my 312 and 580 but they were purchased 8 years and 4 years ago respectively.
I think the warranty card started only in 2019,last time I bought a brand new pam was in 2013,after that most of the times I just buy pre owned pieces
Just extended my 913’s warranty till 2026, nice
Plus i can look at my Pams in a virtual collection now :)
I wonder at what point Richmont will combine JLC/Panerai etc databases.
Thanks for the heads-up on this; two out of four eligible and extended. Two just registered on the database.
I have never seen a warranty card and bought two in 2018.
I also registered my older tackle on the database. Suppose it is another tool to check authenticity, if the database didn't recognise the watch from the serial number it might be an indication that it is a fake.
