Powerful enough to pull my boat trailer or a trailer with a broken down classic Jag, I suppose.
Unlikely to be seen in the rough so to speak.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
Nice enough looking but like the rest on road tyres often performance orientated, so off road probably no use off the tarmac, don’t suppose it would fit in the garage so I’ll stick to the 2 seater.
Not keen on the duck’s arse.
thats a way to dilute the brand,I would have guessed it was a Toyota or something, horrible looking thing.
They had a version at this year’s Goodwood FOS , no one really took any interest, now the Land Rover Twisted stand was packed!
Looks like a cut and shut.... the front and back dont match up.
It's where the market is sadly, if we want them to survive they need to be in that game.
SUVs or diesels from Alfa, Maserati or Aston are an anathema too me but ultimately they are the cars people want to buy and these iconic marques are first and foremost commercial concerns.
If they follow the Porsche model, folks buying these will fund the development of the real Astons.
Please make it stop.
The Royce one is unforgivable.
I was followed by one of these yesterday which was covered in what looked like a typical prototype wrap (squiggly lines etc) but as it got nearer, it had a large TAG Heuer logo on the bonnet.
I guess if you 'have' to have an SUV why not have an Aston Martin one (and by 'have', I mean 'want' because as others have said 99% of their drivers swerve around puddles on the road, let alone think about going off road!)?
Unlike some, I don't hate the look of it compared to other SUVs, but it doesn't interest me any more than any of the others.

This thing, the Bentley and the Rolls, they are not aimed at the UK market, the Arabs and China will buy most of these pointless things, stupid power, wont go round corners but I bet they sell like hot cakes.
According to their press this is aimed at 'wealthy women'. it reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Homer buys a Canyonero (a super 4x4) but buys the ladies model. Cue mayhem. For £180k I think there target audience can find something better and poss cheaper. whose running gear/platform are they using?

I’ll never understand the SUV craze, they all look like ugly tanks to me, this is no different.
People have been conditioned by driving these daft things for so long, invariably on comically massive wheels with comically skinny tyres, that carmakers now get away with ride quality that would have shamed a bog standard family saloon twenty years ago.
Worth a watch:
I find Carwow reviews genuinely to be the best and most even-handed on the web.
With regard to the Aston - nearly 200k with all the kit you'll want.
But to me, I'm just starting to view purely combsution engined cars as "old tech". I guess anyone in the market for a 200k SUV isn't that bothered by resale, and almost all of them will be done on contract lease anyhow, but I do wonder what the residual value of combustion engined cars will be five years from now.
So clever my foot fell off.
Hmmmm...
Is it a Toyota CH-R front end with a Lexus RX back-end, or an elongated & slightly squashed Mazda CX-7?

I'm just going to put this here

Apparently the lambo Urus sold more in its first 6 months than all their other cars combined for the year. In the end all these manufacturers are in it to make money and if it helps them fund something more interesting then all good imo.
I test drove a Urus a few months ago and there was nothing flabby or crappy about it. Amazing piece of kit if not a little on the pricy side!

Sitting high up in a car makes you feel important. Like Tom Cruise in his little Cuban heels.
I know how it feels - I’m 6’2’’ and when I recently went drinking with a 6’6’’ mate, I felt a bit short. It’s not a feeling I get often but can’t say I really liked it.
I suspect that’s why people like SUV’s!
