May be a bit dull but on brown bread it has to be turkey and mayo with a sprinkling of salt.
Failing that, crisps or pot noodle sandwiches are always an option!
For the record, I've not eaten a pot noodle sandwich since I was about fifteen.
Ok, I am bored with my usual staple of tuna sandwiches for my packed lunch. Tried salmon yesterday and I wasn't too keen on them, found them a bit tasteless.
Anyone got any good combos they would like to share?
Got to be quick and easy to make since I am generally assembling them at 5 in the morning, prior to a coffee and quick catch up on TZ, before setting off for work.
I am a brown bread fan, if that makes a difference, but happy to try other types for a change!

Thinly sliced chicken laid in a corn flatbread on a bed of cream cheese topped with cranberry sauce. Yum!
Ciabatta, corned beef, beetroot and salad cream
Ham, cheese and mustard, the English kind not that weak forrin muck.
Or if you can get it, good piccalilli, ideally home made.

Brie, red grape and cranberry in a tiger bread baguette with some salad. Perfection.
Usually made at night to save time. Make the entire baguette and then cut into 3 or 4.
Boiled egg and marmite sandwich
Cheese and marmite or boiled egg and tomato.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Cold chicken jalfrezi from last night. Works a treat trust me.
Haslet and cucumber
Brie and bacon
Smoked salmon and cream cheese in a bagel
Ham and salt n vinegar crisps (thin white bread is best here)
Pastrami and mustard.
Turkey and mayonnaise
Pâté and cucumber.
Try and avoid tomato as it makes the bread all soggy although a BLT is a very fine thing if made fresh.
I find cucumber to be a great addition to a sandwich it adds some healthy crunch but if you remove the middle you don’t risk soggy sandwiches it also tastes bette - to me - than lettuce. Although a bit of romaine is nice too.

I like to rev up a boring tuna sarnie by adding grated mature cheddar and red onion.
Laughing cow cheese spread with crisps of your choice.
Tuna mayo (lots of mayo) with chopped onion / spring onion and black pepper. Grated cheese is good with this.
Egg mayo and lettuce.
Cheese and beetroot. You get a few flavours of pickled beetroot now.
Anything left over from Sunday dinner.
Good old corned beef and pickle

Some great choices in here so far, I should be good for a few weeks!
I just thought back to the old marmite and carrot days, will have to give those another try as well.

smoked salmon & Taleggio cheese
smoked tuna and avocado (dash of sriratcha mayo)
thank me later
A brown, seeded bread - BLT.
Use a fleshy tomato rather than one with lots of seeds/water
Bacon should be good streaky.
Pat the lettuce dry.
put spread on both upper and lower bread slices
bacon first, tomato next, lettuce on top - insulates the bread from the tomato (the spread helps too)
Presto-Hey! perfect!
Crispy Bacon Brie & Cranberry preferably in a baguette/panini and freshly heated
Peanut Butter & Cheese - surprisingly nice - you get lots of cheeses described as "nutty flavour/aroma etc" so why not put nuts with some good cheddar cheese? Needs some marg or particularly runny PB otherwise it's a bit dry.
PB & Salsa works well too, but only made fresh otherwise the salsa makes the bread soggy.
I recently made a pot of spicy mexican rice to go into homemade burritos. Mexican rice, chicken filling, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and sour cream. Epic lunches!
Lemon curd- v v old school but a killer filling
Corned beef and red onion
Boiled egg and mayo - just do it the night before and keep in the fridge in a container
Coronation chicken - you can buy ready done as a sandwich filler
Cold shepherds pie with salad cream and salt, and real butter👍
Prawn & avocado
Ham, strong cheese & Branston pickle
Corned beef & ketchup

Pork pie and pickle ... makes a great sarnie - you have to slice the pie unless you have an exceptionally large mouth ... ;)
Hot salt-beef on light rye with English mustard and horseradish, pickle on the side.
A double decker
Two pints of Stella "sandwiched" between three Marlboros
Not sure it will work on brown but my favourite sandwich is Thick white bread with a smear of butter. Lashings of dairylea, cheap wafer thin ham and as many cheesy doritos as you can fit in.
It's not classy or particularly healthy but i like it.
Proper ham (not wafer stuff) and mature cheddar with mustard mayo. Actually I think I might have one now.
Rice cakes and marmite
Marmite and lettuce sandwich
My current fav is cheese, corned beef and homemade chilli jam.
For me, a sandwich has to have some form of cheese in it
Roquefort cheese and anchovies
Cheese and Jam.
I think you've got to go a long way to beat a good old cheese and pickle sarnie.
Nice strong cheddar, branstons pickle and crusty loaf......luvly
Peanut butter and strawberry jam.....Americano.
Two milk chocolate digestives with a slice of Dairylea between
As for the packed lunch. If brown bread, I'd say chicken. Bit of salt, bit of lettuce.
Some interesting combos in here to say the least. Some made my mouth water, others made me heave.
We really are all very different.
