I enjoyed Yesterday. And as per another poster Angel has Fallen was a decent action flick.
Angel Has Fallen...
Its a bit formulaic and there aren't really any surprises (for instance, if you can't work out who the evil mastermind is really quickly then you don't watch enough of these films!) but it was entertaining and I enjoyed it. The usual proviso stands I.e turn of a few brain cells.

The Mule. Clint Eastwood, a legend. Great film.

Lion on Netfilx defiantly worth a watch and a true story.
Watched the new space epic, Ad Astra starring Brad Pitt. Very thought-provoking and entertaining.
[QUOTE=senraw;5148632]Just watched this classic with my 7 year old son. :)/QUOTE]
I remember this one. Excellent special effects for the time.
Hotel Mumbai on Sky. Worth a watch.

In the Shadow of the moon...is ok, has a sort of Terminator story line.
Rambo-Last blood
It was crap but I enjoyed it. Went with my 21 year old lad (who has never seen a Rambo film) who thought it was ok.
Stallone really could act a bit when he was younger, if you watch the “Nothing is over!” Speech at the end of first blood, rocky one or two, or the “Expendable” conversation in 1985’s Rambo, but nowadays he shuffles and mumbles his way through.
I did still quite enjoy it though, whilst acknowledging it wasn’t very good.
IT 2
Opening scene gave me hope of a decent movie but it quickly became clear it wasn't going to be anything more than a mildly jumpy Goonies movie.
It wasn't bad, nor was it good...It just was.
Oh and it's laughably too long...Were it not for watching it at an Odeon lux with it's big, soft recliners I doubt my arse would've made it to the end.
It's all about Joker for me...Like a shitting dog with excitement.
I know it isn't the newest film, but I watched Ready Player One the other week and loved it
I went to see Will Smith in Gemini today. I'd rate the first half an "A", but the second half a "C-". It started out with good characters, plot, and dialogue, but devolved into a shoot-em-up with a not-quite-real digitized young Will Smith later. Too bad.
Saw Joker yesterday. Worst film I've seen in years. Absolutely terrible.
El cameno on netfilx, good film not too bad overall
Watched 'The Drop' the other night, Tom Hardy & James Gandolfini... really enjoyed it
Tolkien. If you're interested in literature, early 20th-century life and the horrors of WW1.
Menno
Off Topic Just to say that this is probably the best thread for finding good movies.
The Accountant
Film is much better than the title would suggest
Watched Watchmen for the fifth time the other night. A masterpiece.

The Laundromat on Netflix is a fun watch based on the Panama Papers and Mossack Fonsceca
Watched Jojo Rabbit last night - really enjoyed it.
Funny / moving and sad.
"It's definitely not a good time to be a Nazi"
" You’re stupid. Love is the strongest thing in the world.
Jojo: I think you’ll find that metal is the strongest thing in the world, followed closely by dynamite, and then muscles."
Happy Death Day (on Netflix)
It’s like Scream coupled with Groundhog Day and is actually quite an entertaining film to waste 90 minutes on.
Just seen terminator :dark fate. A worthy successor than the the others that followed T2.
It's fast paced, dark and no sign of Arnold wearing Elton John glasses , getting called 'pops' or uncle Bob. Some genuinely funny parts in it also in a deadpan style .

I watched Mortal Engines the other day. Oh my god it’s not good, although it did look good on my new tv lol

Dragged Across Concrete. Not as accomplished as the director's prior two films (Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99), but Mel Gibson gave a good turn.
Just watching Mystic River on Netflix. Haven't seen it in years, and it's still a damn fine film.
A Man Called Ove
Absolutely brilliant Swedish tale of life: sweet, sad and hilarious at times.
(disappearing from Amazon soon)
Zombie Land 2:Double Tap
If you liked the first one then what are you waiting for? It’s time to nut up or shut up!
Superb.

Dolemite is my name.
Eddie Murphy is a failed comedian who creates a character that captures the public imagination. Based on the true story of Rudy Ray Moore.
Really very funny, Murphy is great and Wesley Snipes steals every scene he is in.
On netflix
I watched 99 Homes over the weekend. It's almost surreal but some great acting by Michael Shannon, Andrew Garfield and Laura Dern.
I found myself not hating the Shannon character as much as I thought after one particular speech scene, but it's still gut wrenching, blood boiling stuff if you have any sense of moral dignity.
I'll have to check this out as I'm a fan of both their earlier films but they did tail off quite badly in recent years. Hope this is a return to form
It is!
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Another vote for Dolomite, been a long time since Eddie Murphy was funny and I’m glad he’s back. Hope he keeps it up, really enjoyed this film!

Stranger than fiction.
Absolutely superb.

I went on Sat to watch it and after all the hype surrounding it, I just thought it was a decent film.
Not rubbish, not superb, just decent. A solid 7.5 out of 10 and could have been a low budget Sky Original.
Spoiler alert...................
I kept waiting for something to actually happen.....
On Netflix: Legend. About the Kray brothers. The twins' roles are both played by Tom Hardy.
Worth watching.
