I can't compete with the real ales this evening fellas,
this nice cold San Miguel is just what I need today and will be followed by another (or 2) shortly
Beer fairy from DEYA arrived...
And last night introduced a colleague from Krakow to the delights of Brew By Numbers and Cloudwaters 73 Enid St, on the Bermondsey Beer Mile...
We enjoyed the Session IPA and the 21 Pale Idaho7, Citra, and a couple of Cloudwater IPA’s.
Next time he gets to visit Moor Vaults, London Beer Factory Barrel Project and Anspach & Hobday.

Bière blanche aromatisée citron coriandre
and very nice in the Alps it is too.
My usual tipple is Wainwright as I live in Cumbria, so this is a way off the piste....
Shopping this morning (well having a Sainsbury's breakfast while the better half did the shopping actually) and this fell into the trolley. Mmmmm...................

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Bloody lovely...while watching the Aussies get bowled out!
I've enjoyed many a Cloudwater ale, in fact I've one in the fridge for tomorrow. For tonight though it's Pressure Drop's Tamborine Mountain DDH NEPA and Brew York's Skunk Anansie Sour.
Thursday Beer
Nice action! I really like Pressure Drop, this year they’ve just been knocking them out of the park.
Off to Cornwall tomorrow for two weeks with a box full of fun and two trips to Verdant in Falmouth planned. I will try to drop by Skinners in Truro too. Watch this space...
Off into the city later, and with it being a fine day it’s a good time to pop into the Half Moon for some Draught Bass as the hoi polloi will be outside being irradiated, smoking, vaping, shouting etc etc. The bar then is a cool respite from the heat. I’m hoping the lack of Raven has been rectified in the top house.

Batemans dark lord tonight, it’s 1.50 a bottle in my local co op .. normally 2.40 so would be rude not to :-) love a good ruby ale it’s so smooth
Need a change anyway I’ve had far too much 1664 lately after a trip to France was fruitful

8hrs in the car for two weeks in Cornwall.
Unpacking wasn’t unpleasant...
Nipped down the local pub for a pint of Tribute and a pint of Proper Job with an old pal before coming home to fish’n chips with a pint of Marble Hip Escape IPL, and then a refreshing, zesty DDH IPA from Cloudwater to finish off the evening.
Started the evening off with one of these. Really very good. Would have drank more if I hadn't been driving later

Possibly being gluten intolerant thought beer would not be for me anymore but come across some Brewdog Vagabond in the supermarket yesterday evening and it’s very tasty.!
Yesterday I "just happened to be in the vicinity" so it would have been rude not to pop in and stock up. Fortunately the shop was still open five minutes after they were due to close.

Oh I like the look of that selection! One or two look familiar, in fact I was drinking the Double Dry Mopped only last night...
Double Dry Mopped
I'll be calling the beer shop tomorrow and reserving any more cans they may have in stock!
Another highlight in that little lot above is Wylam Brewery's Jakehead, sadly it has been a while since last trying it though.
Jakehead Supercharged IPA
Cheers to you @Cardshark - can’t disagree on the Wylam
I happen to be a crowdfund investor in Verdant Brewing Co, so will be heading over to Falmouth to pick-up whatever they’ve got fresh off the line in the next two weeks, and trying the seafood bar.
Several pints of Guinness this afternoon, and maybe some more in the evening.
Ahh, the joy of a Bank Holiday weekend. After a day digging out some bushes in the garden, I'm looking forward to seeing the cricket highlights and having more than the one bottle of beer.

And here indeed are my choices for tonight.

Don't normally drink at home, but found a few of these in my bag from a recent trip.

Mrs Mag decided to lift a load of slightly crooked flags up out the back to pull out some roots. They are of course relaid now, but the two hours in the hot sun brought on quite a thirst. I got the job done, showered, just in time for the kick off of the Toon game, having at the outset cached some ale in the fridge. So . . . (library shots)
Vintage cars in the city tomorrow, seems a good day for a wander down and about with a camera . . .

Sunday night Wylam Mosaic Wheat IPA time...
Pretty punchy, but very smooth. The Untappd description says
“17.6° Plato | OG 1072.4 | ABV 7.0%
Mosaic Wheat IPA... A thick creamy IPA with wheat malt and torrified wheat. Mosaic leaf in the kettle, Mosaic BBC and Cryo on the cold side giving out a complex profile of mango, blueberry, bubblegum, stone fruit and earthy pine.”
Certainly get the creamy/smooth, stone fruit and pine. Bubblegum? Not yet.
It's drinkable, we stayed in Lichtenstein recently and a small mistake was made on our bill, so rather than the faff of a refund they gave us a couple of crates of this, which is brewed just down the road from where we stayed in Schaan.

Burnt Mill isn't that far up the road from me and whenever my shop has one of their "Fog" series of ales in stock I'll give it a try - Fog refers to the type of yeast used in the brewing process.
Aerial Fog
This one's worth another purchase though I'd put Citra Fog ahead by a single point with Pure Fog and Nelson Fog after Aerial.
Just to keep me going through this warm afternoon.
Bit low on supplies so having one of my son's GF lagers - surprisingly good
