I got this email a couple of days ago. I wouldn't worry.

    Dear Customer,

I wanted to let you know that our production run of 1962 chronographs has been held for inspection and clearance by customs authorities in Europe. Because of this delay, we will not be able to meet our commitment to ship your order to you by August 1.

I am sorry about this delay, We are doing everything we can to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
    .
At this point, our best estimate is that your watch will ship to you in 5-10 days. As soon as we know the schedule, we will send you new tracking information.

We appreciate your patience with this delay. As always, you may cancel your order anytime and receive a full refund by contacting us at support@danhenrywatches.com.

Has anyone got the 1962 yet? I really like the look of them but am curious about the lug holes as I’d like to fit a bracelet at some point.

Mine arrived today (sorry no pics atm as I'm not home now).

Lovely watch but I'll be returning mine unworn as for me, it's too similar to my Speedy Pro with a tan strap that I use as a daily.

Definitely worth the money though so don't let the above put you off!

Interesting you say that as I’m kind of barred from buying any new watches for a few months, so that could be really good news!

Mines due to arrive tomorrow so looking forward to seeing it in the metal. It might actually save me some money (and body parts if Mrs NCC66 ever finds out about my desire for a Speedy Pro)!

Yes I think so. He only sent me a text, but then said he performed a ‘reset’ and that it seemed OK from then on - not sure if he’s keeping it or not now.

The 1962 looks great - are the lug holes a suitable distance away from the case to fit a curved bracelet do you think?

initial look says yes, but I have not had chance to have a play yet, and I don't have many 20mm ends to try.

    Obelisk arrived today.

    Found this inside! Stickers off.

First impressions are I love the slimness of the case and the size. Lovely looking dial as well. Very pleased with it so far.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I am definitely keen to see if anyone manages to find a bracelet that is a good fit for this.

Put of curiosity, what made people go for this over, for example the Seiko mecha quartz offerings?

The New Dan Henry 1962 Racing Chronograph

Mine turned up today too. Good job I didn’t trust my dodgy German and sit by the door from Tuesday to Friday waiting for it!

Really liking it for the small amount it cost. Nice slim fit for my small wrists and good legibility.

I’ve got two or three 20mm bracelets knocking about so will have a play over the weekend to see if any fit. I actually think I have a very similar one to the jubilee above. Fingers crossed . Although, TBH, I’m really liking it on the tan racing strap and can see that staying on for a while

I have bought a couple of these, and was impressed with them for the price. Worth a punt perhaps.

Excellent value for money, stylish, well made and very well sized/proportions

Have to agree with the size and proportions, so much better than some 'chunkier' models I think.

However mine was caught by the customs inspector in the kitchen. Still waiting for an announcement on the 'import duty'

I have just ‘tolerated ‘ a 5 day cruise with the 88 year old mother in law so have significant moral credit, although me and Mrs S disagree on the watch/bike trade in value

    Best of luck

(& good on the mother in law for still travelling at a fair old age)

Loving mine, I bought the reverse pandas version and it’s on a lovely blue & Orange strap, so catches the eye nicely. I just wish the main hands were a bit less ‘60’s’ and slimmer.

Know what you mean, although sometimes a little economy with valuations is a good thing. We took the mother in law away with us for 4 or 5 years, wasn't a bad thing in the scheme of things.
