The good old HODINKEE rinse & repeat.
A fool and his money...
"38mm case, ceramic bezel insert, no-date black dial, and a high-grade, in-house movement in a limited edition of 100 pieces"
How dull.
"A man of little significance"
I really like it. Particularly the texture on the dial.
like it; but it's $10,000.
I like it, especially that it's a normal size.
Perfect, except for two things: it's a Hodinkee and it costs $10,000.
I wonder what they'll be fetching in a week or two?
What surprises me is that people will make such a snap decision on limited info.
Hardly any images of the watch and you have a few minutes to decide ...

I like the design a lot, except that, for me, the brightness of the white hands and lume doesn’t work with the aged lume markers and faded grey bezel.
p.s. The white isn't so bright and the contrast between the lumes of the hands and markers isn't so noticeable looking at a larger picture on my laptop.

I think it looks pretty great, if I had 10k to blow, why not!
People are saying it is a lot of money, which is clearly is, but at the level of Blancpain it seems about par for that ludicrously expensive course no?

That is an absolute stunner, gorgeous in fact.
Simple,clear,legible a perfect watch I love it.
I don’t like glitzy hence I like it.
Another great looking watch. Hodinkee seem to be on the money regarding current trends.
Maybe the Swiss watch industry should take note and employ them as trend consultants, because every year at Basel 99 times out of a hundred they seem to get it wrong.
I'm not sure I could spend £10k on a new watch that has been designed to look aged / vintage. I like the styling though.
I like it. Hands are very nice, way better than on latest FF.
That 38mm case is used for white dial ladies models, but with a different movement, they appear to be $9,500
I really like it. And at $10k I would have thought it would be the cheapest new FF on the market? Would love to be proved wrong though.
But there’s no way in hell I’m spending that much money without handling it or at least getting some impartial feedback on it.

very pretty...and I like the understated nature. Never been a fan of bling and actually think that Blancpain are generally very attractive (correctly sized) watches.
Apart from the hype (which I never tend to take part in), this is a seriously nice watch. Even though the case design could have been done by any micro brand the movement obviously not and it’s a decent package, although possibly overpriced.
If money was no object this is a nice addition to any collection.

Nice but I could never buy something with fake aged lume. Either it’s old or it’s not.
Beautiful watch but agree on the bracelet and price.
Is it not just an expensive version of the Rado Captain Cook Ghost LE that one of the other watch bloggers did?

I love that. I do hope the bezel pip lume matches though coz it'd drive me nuts - in my dream - where I land one

Nope. Still not correct.
Let’s try:
Hodinkee version $9,900 at current exchange rate = approx £7,950 (probably more)
Add VAT and total becomes £9,540.
Standard version £7,300.
Oh yes what about a discount. I will leave you to check grey market discounts.....
Anyone buying, even from a UK AD will pay somewhat less than £7,300 for the standard version.
I wonder if you can hop over and get the watch from Hodinkee HQ or even better, direct from Switzerland and bring it back into the country by being naughty.....
Actually what annoys me most about this watch is they're making you feel 'special' with the 100 exclusivity, yet the whole experience is purely transactional - place an order and receive in the post. Underwhelming.
Edit - I forgot. Gratification comes from all the IG fawning. Doh!

I've zero time for the faux aged lume. Its like aged denim new from the store. That said though, it's certainly the best looking FF I've seen!
In my opinion, you're simply choosing to feel that it's something special. You're buying a watch, nothing more, nothing less. If you think it's anything beyond that, then you need to remember you're a customer, nothing more nothing less. They, like an AD, don't care one bit about you beyond the money going through the till.

Price, Hodinkee and Limitation apart: I very much like the design. It has a bit of IWC GST and PRS-18 rugness and a famous brand.
If you’re talking about whether it’s appropriately priced at an American retailer it doesn’t make any sense to take into account UK VAT & import duty.
The standard model appears to be $9500 in America so $10,000 doesn’t seem like a lot extra.
