Were they wearing size 6 brogues with a XXXXL belstaff jacket? If so they are def on here
Long shot but I'm pretty sure I saw someone in Sainsbury's yesterday sporting what looked like a Save The Ocean Seiko Turtle on an aftermarket Jubilee bracelet. I'm jumping to conclusions here, but if it was you, what was the watch and what was the bracelet?
Like I said, long shot...

Mazda Mx5 Parked outside?
I wasn’t in Winchester and I don’t have one of those watches but I was in a Sainsbury’s. I guess it couldn’t have been me.
Don't just do something, sit there. - TNH
I was in Winchester, but I wasn’t in Sainsbury’s and I wasn’t wearing a Seiko, so guess it wasn’t me either...
Hi, I'm Ed Winchester...
I've been to Winchester, I go to my local Sainsburys and I own a different Seiko. Probably wasn't me.
Probably size 8 shoes and 36"x32" jeans so still within the minimum TZ-UK SC clothing requirements.
Naturally.
Badger Farm. Good point.
I did wonder if it might have been easier to ask for photos of people's Save The Ocean Seikos on bracelets

I think in a very real way we were all 'in Winchester' on Saturday and to discriminate against those who weren't actually, physically there isn't terribly woke.
There are some very strange people in Winchester.
Take my word for it....I drink with most of them!
I've always thought it might be a nice idea to have a dedicated part of the forum where people can post threads like this - to see if a watch spotted in the wild belongs to someone on the forums. Seems like a fun way to further build community and make connections, however small the chances.

This is coming along nicely, 10 or so people already eliminated from the enquiry - only a couple of hundred active members to go.
I live 250 miles away, don't think I've ever been to Winchester, but can whistle Winchester Cathedral if that helps, but don't currently own a Seiko and haven't been in a supermarket of any description for ages, so it might not be me either.
Good luck with the search...
On the briskoda forum there's a 'Spotted! Was it you?' section and in all my years as a member, with thousands upon thousands of members from across the world, I never once saw anyone reply in the affirmative. It's currently running at 12,760 posts.
I think it conclusively proves that us nerds are very much in the minority.
Well I rarely shop in Sainsbury's, don't own a seiko and never been to Winchester. Thinking about it I'm not even in the UK at present so chances are it wasn't me either
I had a successful 'who was it' post a few years ago.

I was at the said Sainsbury but was wearing a Richard Mille. I don’t know if it was a TZ-UKer but some peasant stopped me to comment- Nice Invicta!
Now if there was only a discrete TZUK badge, by which we could identify our fellow members and which Eddie could sell for a few notes a pop for the fundraiser.....
I was in Winchester in 2004, but I'd have been wearing a knackered Citizen, you sure it was a Seiko?
I thought Winchester was a Rifle ?
I thought Winchester was a disk drive.
I own a few Seikos, but Sainsburys only exists to keep the riff-raff out of Waitrose.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
I vote a Mason style handshake that only TZ’ers will know, you could of offered a handshake to the Seiko wearing shopper and if he done the “dib dob dab” with his fingers then you could of exchanged forum names..

Could have been me - I have an STO Turtle. I was however out of the country and come to think of it, never been to Winchester.
However OP, I’m going to be helpful - have you checked out Uncle Seiko bracelets. Maybe something like this? - http://www.uncleseiko.co.uk/store/p8...X_Divers_.html
Can’t have been me.
I don’t drive an MX5. I wear size 10 shoes and L or XL jacket. Don’t own any Brogues or Belstaff stuff.
My Son stole the only Seiko I own that is functioning.
On Saturday I was in a field in my motorhome no where near Hampshire.
Did call in to Sainsbury’s to re fuel on the way home though on Sunday evening, but Ripley not Winchester
Actually, I used to work with a bloke from Winchester that actually said actually a lot, actually.
If your target said actually a lot and had foppish fair hair, a high forehead and a big nose it might be my mate?
If you see him again say Hello from me.
... and last time I saw him he was in an orange planet ocean... he might have bought something else in the 10 years since I last saw him.

Hi Foxy,
Please bear with me just a little longer if you can.
Having made a call to my ex-badminton doubles partner (3rd placed amateur males, County Champs 2004) who is a senior IT bod at Sainsburys now, I've called a favour and have been able to secure the CCTV footage from the Badger's Farm Sainsburys entrance camera.
You didn't mention the precise time of the sighting in your original post so I checked with the Badger's Farm branch of Sainsburys myself and they were open from 7am and 10pm on Saturday 6th July.
You also stated 'Saturday 7th' in your post, so as a precaution I'm checking the Sunday footage too.
I'm currently up to about half past ten on the Saturday morning and hope to break the midday mark somewhere later this evening if all goes well. Slightly hindered by a period of reduced light from around 09.18 onwards (localised cloud cover?) which is making detail recognition somewhat harder (see below), however individual screengrabs then brightness / contrast adjustment in photoshop is proving an adequate workaround.
Already I've positively identified two Casios and a Scurfa, and I'm feeling optimistic for a sightling of the elusive Ocean Turtle any time now.
Stay strong. We will find it.
It might have been me - do you recall if it was the only thing I was wearing at the time?
Saturday is usually Naked Shopping day for me, and as you can imagine I need to vary the locations.
Could easily have been Winchester that weekend, although there are so many I do lose track.

Arthur?
Terry?
Dave?
Who's wearing the Seiko?
______
Jim.
Not me as I was in Walmart in Orlando wearing a Seiko.
Perhaps we could organise a gtg in the cafe at some point?

I visited Sainsbury’s in Winchester (both Badgers Farm and centre) in 1987, but I would have been wearing a Timex then. I knew one of the duty managers there. Apparently Fanny Craddock was a nightmare customer...
I can’t believe it’s still there if I’m honest. Winchester I mean, not Sainsbury’s obviously.
I'm going to Winchester with my wife next week. I’ve literally got just 3 hours there. Any suggestions what to do/what to see in that time etc?
Go to the Great Hall at the top of the high street and see the Round Table

It might have been me. I was in San Diego wearing a Smiths Vanguard, but if you were a bit loopy you may have mistaken San Diego for Winchester and my Smiths for a Seiko!
I wasn’t in the Winchester with Arthur or Terry that day so probably wasn’t me either.
I was in Winchester that day AND I was wearing a Seiko BUT I was in Tesco (Easton Lane, not High Street, before anybody asks), not Sainsbury's.
There's only around 45,000 of us living in Winchester, so we'll narrow it down yet.
I’m sure it was a beautiful moment with the Seiko owner in Sainsbury’s, that lingering look in the baked goods section that promised so much... but the important thing is to remember there are plenty more fish in the sea. Have you tried Tinder? It’s all the rage with the kids, apparently it works much better than the traditional approach of posting an ad on a watch forum.
