Fairly sure they will order PM in for you in advance at Heathrow. Sports watches no chance.

Usually four month wait...they make them to order; unless the store has one for display.

As this is the appropriate thread I have a question -

When was the last time you seen the best part of the full range of Stainless Sport Rolex in a UK shop window, as in Submariner, GMT, Seadweller, Explorer II, Daytona? Obviously I cant remember so can any of you?

    Mid 2015 I think. With 2-tone & PM Daytonas.
SS Daytona has never been a in the window/display model

    December 2014:
116520 Daytona, Hulk, BLNR, SDc, both date and non date Submariners, DSSD, plus Explorer II and Milgauss. Probably also Explorer and YM, but I didn’t notice. All in stock on display. The Daytona was in the window for at least a week.

I need to ask, where was this? I'm guessing it wasn't in the UK?

May 2016 in Nottingham city centre.
A day out for TZ-UK member busmatt (pictured) and I, all the watches on the top shelf are Rolex, mostly sports. The corner shop has another window and this featured many other used Rolex along with Tag, Omega PP, etc.
    Competitive prices too, IIRC.

Was a SS Daytona in Charles Fox in Bournemouth that I saw sometime around then so they were in Dorset too! Not sure whether they had the rest of the range at the time.

I got my BLNR from Charles Fox in Bournemouth a couple of years ago after spotting it in the window. I had one on order with a grey/second-hand dealer, though they were struggling to source it, so I quickly phoned to cancel and popped in!

Got the middle one at list many moons ago a grand sum of £3670

Got the one on the right at list a few months ago for £7150

Funnily enough the one on the left just doesn’t hit the spot for me.

Still got both for those about to ask

Don't forget that's all you're allowed to sell them for on SC or they'll have the pitchforks out haha

There’s a few on here who’d never buy from me because I had a different point of view , I found the promise of not to buy from me difficult to understand because I don’t sell any of my collection anyway.

Only SS models of note in Barbados AD (Bridgetown) today were Yachtmaster II and Airking. They said the usual that Subs and GMT SS models are hens teeth but they did give me a thick Rolex catalogue dated 2015-2016 that has my BLNR in. Which was nice.

The unified Rolex in the window thread

Wandered past a place called ‘Carr’s’ next door to Liverpool Street station last night. 3 watches in the window. 2x Non ceramic Daytona’s one black dial and one white and a PP Nautilus. No prices though.

  25. #975

White dial Oyster Perpetual 39 in Fraser Hart, York. It's a lovely thing.

They've also got a Black Bay 58 on a strap if anyone's looking for one.

just has a geek following and the SD is just a thick (read into that too thick) Sub for £2k more, and while liked on here it's too bulky imo and just for people who don't want a Sub because every one has one !

    most AD have all 3.

    imho of course :-)
The SD is definitely thick-I tried one on at my AD recently and it is a beast.

Also agree. They had one in the window of Goldsmiths, Metrocentre last weekend. Don’t know whether it’s still there but it certainly stood out. The white dial pops.

Prefer the black. Nice watch in white are certainly better than the dial colours it replaced but think the watch is too hyped for what it is.

A beast and yet I would love it and hey, I have a sub so can't be just so I don't have a sub. Good proportions for someone like me with thighs for wrists who finds the deep sea obnoxiously big with a tiny dial. Saying that the D-Blue would be my ultimate weekend/Friday watch.

I have been on the lookout for the 36mm OP in white, not many around from what I gather. The white versions has a hint of silver in the dial which makes it less harsh than the usual Rolex white.

That’s Hallam’s, not an AD, the watches aren’t new, and overpriced compared to other SH dealers in Nottingham.

A lot of their watches described as “mint” had more wabi on the PCL than the brushing on the brushed links.

All academic now as they went bust a while ago

Yes put my name down after trying one at a Rolex event in the ADs about September last year.
I will do a post comparing the original and the new one soon.

That would be great. Look forward to some comparison pics. Will you keep both?

I keep meaning to put my name down for a SD43 at the same AD (I'm from N. Ireland originally), but there’s probably no chance at this stage!

I plan to keep both on the basis that the 2015 116660 is my son's birth year watch, and is going into the safe for him in 14 years time. That plan may change after doing a close comparison which I hope to do tomorrow morning.

On Sunday walked into an AD to try and get my name down for a SS GMT on my 50th birthday (2 years away). Walked away with what must be one of the last new 116710LN’s. Just a random walk in with zero buying history.
    Well happy.

99.9% chance of achieving the square root of f all. Painful on a day off! Never happens when you try make it happen, only by chance. Annoying!
