A bit of a left field request, but I know that there are a few jewellers on here who might be able to point in a direction.
I have an engraved copper printing plate which I would like turning into a little tray and silver plated. It's a flat piece of copper currently about 6" by 8" but I'd like the edges forming up to turn it in to a tray and possibly four feet adding to the underside. A silver plate and the job should be a good one. I imagine a fairly easy job for a competent metal worker type person.
Who should I be speaking to?
Advice appreciated

I’d put a specific spec together and send it to a few firms you can google in the jewellery quarter Birmingham
David Thomas at Snooty Fox in Shrewsbury might be someone to contact - he made a ring for me. Has done some interesting work for the royal parks - drinking fountiains, reading tables for the V&A and if my memory serves me right a font for a church, as well as the usual rings and jewellery work
My Dad is a former Silversmith and through his Freemanship I have met and been to the workshops of Steve Wager of SEW Ltd London. He’s probably the best Silversmith in London/UK/anywhere and specialises in ‘Flat work’ such as trays and boxes. Look him up.
