It’s been a long time coming, but this little beauty arrived with me this morning.
It’s an 18ct Seamaster De Ville from 1963.
I’m delighted with the condition: nice sharp edges to the case and the dial is almost perfect.
I’ll see what the timekeeping is like during today, but so far so good.
Aaaand it’s here. What a beauty if anyone is umming and ahhing about one then just do it. The 40mm looks good on my 7.75-8 inch wrist.

Sure it’s a AP0600-01E
Bit of a cult following

Having very recently purchased a Borealis Sea Storm and been very impressed, I had a look at some of their other offerings and was very taken with this bronze Oceanaut which arrived this morning. It's very unlike me to go for any watch without a date but I'm once again blown away by the quality for the price.

The EMG Nemo designed by hked. I liked my yellow one so much that I ordered the dark and light blues too. I try to stay away from duplicate models, I have the yellow and orange Orient Mako’s and now three EMG Nemo’s. I really liked the quality of the yellow one and the fit is perfect, so I got these two.
Got a call today!
Nice call!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me
The Edox Sky Diver came from SC and is a lovely little vintage divers watch even if it is more than a bit Sub a-like
The Newmark has been eagerly anticipated for months and I am really pleased it has arrived. I bought one for my father as well and he has not removed it from his wrist since it arrived.
The 3646 homage might go down in TZ history as the quickest sale and re purchase. I sold it last week and the buyer had a change of heart so I bought it back within 48 hours. I am glad I did as I didn’t really want to sell it in the first place, but the buyer and I had a long standing agreement so off it went, it’s back now and going no where. I am never likely to be able to find or afford an original WW2 3646 and this is as close as you can get as it has the original 3 piece case design and solid welded lugs it also has a vintage movement inside to complete the feel.
Lastly the Crepas L’Ocean arrived yesterday from SC.
I have a hankering of a vintage ZRC / Triton and this will tide me over until I find one or I press the button on one of the new versions (which is more likely)
Undecided on this so haven't yet taken the stickers off it
Bremont Supermarine S300 in the collection, nice addition to the ALT1-C and MBII. Dimensions are a nice change, at 40mm and 13mm thick it sits nicely in the wrist. Also received the Bremont black rubber strap so will see how it looks but quality is excellent

Home now after a 9hr journey to pick this up off Steve. Well worth it though.

It's been a busy week for watches for me. First to arrive was my first purchase from SC. I had never heard of Orex, let alone of Romanian made watches so it peaked my interest. It is in very good nick and is my best mechanical time keeper, albeit very fussy about which way round it is kept.
Then there was the surprise win in Mr Curto's raffle. The G10 is also in excellent nick.
And then the generosity of three members mean that I know have four movements to practice taking them apart but perhaps more of them in other posts.
I'm a happy watch collector/wrecker this weekend.

Thrilled with this
It is isn’t it. It’s perhaps the blue strap that’s stopping me from wearing it. Fabulous quality but I don’t like the colour, so have a Zulu Diver inbound to try, and hopefully help me decide.

These 2 for me... Mrs C doesn’t realise they are not the same watch... I will tell her soon!

In recent times I seem to have subconsciously allowed my watch collecting to creep firmly into the middle of the road brand-wise, to the point where I was feeling the onset of boredom with the whole thing.
So this new arrival represents an overdue step back towards the left side of the field, to hopefully renew my enthusiasm...

Used to own an 1163v but all the red details made it a bit loud for my taste. This 11063 seems to be much more subtle, have a more foolish look and a more useful bezel!

Latest acquisition arrived yesterday, X-33 Gen 1. Just on a NATO for now whilst I resize the Ti bracelet. Rather taken with it.

Gone full circle. Was my first ever grail watch about 10 years or go ago. Sadly was stolen about 4 years ago, finally replaced...
Trick of the light, it is a 3227 black dial.

Picked up a BB58 this morning. I reckon I will end up wearing it as much as the one on the right.
Just picked (few days ago) up a DJ 41 Wimbledon dial.
Great watch, first watch on a jubilee, only experienced one pinch of hair not experienced it since, must have been the position of the bracelet.
The watch with its dial and polished parts makes the watch very shiny, so word of warning if you don't have anything like this currently.
I do like the watch a lot hence the purchase but a few negatives for you;
1) the dial colour is not the best to read from in low light
2) the lume is at #9 and on the hands only, the hands do not light up as well as other Rolex models in my opinion given the strip for the lume is a lot thinner
But a nice addition to my collection, certainly one I would recommend
Finally got round to ordering my first new watch in 5 years!
The Steinhart Ocean One 39 took my eye a while ago. It wears a bit smaller than I expected, but that's no bad thing on my dainty wrists. First impressions are very good, it seems at least on a par with my Glycine Sub Combat - The last watch I bought.
The service from Neil at Chronomaster was great too, ordered yesterday and it arrived less than 20 hours later!

Thank you for your kind comments.
Yes, it's actually a used Franck Muller strap which I thought to take a punt on from ebay.
The blueness of the strap is not that noticeable in the flesh. Plus it does complement the blued seconds hand.
