Currently got a 1985 BMW 323i, but previously have had MG BGT, MG BGT V8, TR6, BMW 635CSI, x3 Mk2 Golf GTI 16V.
Wouldn’t mind another TR6 (YYH 981H where are you?) but this will do for now:
Hi Guys
I own a TR6 that I adore it was purchased last October, I have owned a couple of classics ie a Midget and a Spitfire over the years.
Who on here has owned and still has some nice classics. Some nice pictures of the interior engine bay etc would be nice for all the car fans on here. It’s not a gratuitous thread for me to post pictures of my TR6 so I won’t, just a genuine request to see some nice new, old or rare cars.

Any pictures John
Love the TR6, was looking to buy one last year before something else came up.
I have a 1967 Lotus Elan S3 FHC, and share (with my father in law) a 1964 AC Cobra FIA and a 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S Mk1. Additionally he also has a 1956 AC Ace Bristol and a Sunbeam Tiger Mk2. Technically my '07 Audi RS4 is a bit of a relic now too.
Just shut down my old server so need to figure out somewhere new to upload the photos.
Would love see some pics especially the Tiger one of my all time favourite classics
I went through a Mercedes phase a few years ago and after buying new, current models was left rather dissatisfied so i went classic and bought a nice 230ce pillarless coupe which was built when MB built cars made to last.
Unfortunately it only lasted 35 years when it succumbed to rot (which they all do) and it was sold to someone new with fresh eyes and an open wallet...
I had a few good years with it though and it was fabulous to drive: wind all the windows down, snick it into `D`, left limb resting on the centre armrest i`d pilot this fabulous old girl around the highways of Hampshire with just a thumb and forefinger on`t wheel wafting around in majestic elegance!
In an age where every motor manufacturer seems to think we all need hard, jarring `sports` suspension, plasticky interiors and inert, characterless driving experiences this Merc was a joy with it`s lazy and torquey automatic motor, compliant, softly-sprung suspension and large, cosseting seats chairs.
...i`d have another..
Pillarless Coupe mmmmmmm pure class.
I've an old 1968 Merlyn that is quite a fun thing to drive
Still have my very first car, MGB Roadster, registered in 1971, bought by me in 1990 and this year had an engine rebuild. Great little car but hardly used!
..also still got my viper green 911 RS (ish) thing
As it's done 60 miles in the last 5 years it will be for sale soon

Mrs R has owned this since 1997 when we bought it new.
It gets used every workday for a 30-mile round trip commute.
1990 Jeep Wrangler S
This is my dad's car and it still does it work.

My Volvo ES,
Well no longer mine as such but good memories of regular journeys between Yorkshire and Henley.

1977 T2 - Had it about 8 years now I guess, needed some work when we first got it but just routine maintenance now, its a fun weekend load carrier, bikes and portable BBQ etc, as a practical camper, not so much fun but doable if the weather is nice for a weekend, noisy, slow, woefully fuel inefficient but the wife and kids love it and won't let me swap it for a 924 Turbo.
Cheers..

That's awesome Jason and your photo catchs the essence of it perfectly. I could be tempted by a camper but the mrs would be reluctant.
I ran a series of Jaguar Mk11's and a XJ6 Coupe for nearly 22 years. They were good fun but always needed tinkering to keep them in top shape.
I sold the Coupe in 2004 and have been buying Honda Civics ever since which have been boringly ultra reliable.
I also have had just over 30 British motorcycles over the years but sold my last one, a 1960 BSA 650cc twin, to a friend last year.
I suspect my "classic" era is now over.
currently residing I my garage , is the 1600E owned for 44 years, and the 35 model y ( hotrod) built & owned for 25 years. I don't lik parting with my possessions LOL

Here’s mine, a 1972 MGB. Owned for 5 years.
Not sure how to post a better picture from my photo album on iPad.

My 914 a few years ago on the first-ever trip after the engine rebuild. A pump near the workshop. One of the last non-self service pumps in the area!
Pride 'n' Joy engine room.

I'm going to cheat, this is a modern classic! 16 years old. The engine is certainly a classic, with a production run from 1979 - 2005; I feel ok adding it here.
Some of mine from the last 10-years including a Triumph Dolomite 1850HL, Dolomite Sprint, TR7, Acclaim, Rover Metro, Toyota Celica ST182 and Celica VVTL-I.....

Some beautiful Cars boys, keep them coming
Lovely Yellow that mind I would say that as the TR is Mimosa
[/QUOTE] Loving those!! Missed having an Alfa V6, last one was a GTV 2.0 V6 TB

I had an Alfa 75 with the V6 engine. Made a lovely noise but had an insatiable appetite for head gaskets. Also had the TwinSpark version. Slightly fewer horsepower but a better drive in many ways
Safely tucked away in the garage at this time of year so here's an older pic.
