Roughly how not cheap Eddie, 500 - 750, 750 to 1000, 1000+?
I thought you'd kicked reserving numbers in to the long grass a while back, but if you're indulging us then...
#67 if the numbering is across both dials, irrespective of colour.
Otherwise #7, Moss's usual race number in...hmmm...white dial please.
yes please!
I will be looking to get one of these as well!
I would say between 750 and 850 to keep it just below the cost of the Steinhart one.
FINALLY!!!!!!
Eddie,
Is it going to be available with a black bezel as well?
It doesn’t matter. The panda is the one for me!!!
Thanks for making it...

Both.
Wearing the CAF as I type and I am afraid it might find itself being bested this time around.
Nice to see it is a 40mm case rather than Steinhart’s 42mm. Classic.
Eddie: I assume the sub-dials on Version A are white, not silver (preferable)?
Great news Eddie, looking forward to seeing real life pictures.
Killing me here, with the Speedbird B and now this. So many watches such little time.....
QUOTE=swanbourne;4815612]It may be 9 months before it's available because there's a 6 month lead time on movements.
Eddie[/QUOTE]
Slightly disappointed that the manual-wind lemania movement was not available (at an appropriate cost) to make it a little thinner.. but the Seiko NE88 is a good modern movement and the renders make the case proportions look right. Well done Eddie for taking this project forward.
The only trepidation is availability. I can't buy a new rolex and now I probably can't buy a homage because they are too popular.

Allegedly Eddie will be keeping the warranty cards.....
No indicies outside the dial? Not necessarily bad but initially "odd" to my eyes.
This looks fantastic, both dial versions. Can't wait to see production models.
That looks awesome. Looking forward to seeing the production photos to get a better idea of the dial options.
That could supplant the PRS18Q which I've worn pretty constantly for the last few months.
Dilemma here is going to be which dial to buy......
Must I buy both.....
Prototype dials.
Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Dials look great, I actually prefer the black one.
On another note, is there any indication with regards to the thickness of the watch case? I know the NE88 is relatively tall and I would imagine the domed crystal together wih the display caseback add another couple of mms?
Kind Regards,
Catalin

Looking forward to this one. The black dial does seem to pop more than the White. Awaiting next real world pics with excitement!
White dial is killer!
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
They book look superb but especially the black
Looks great!
And with a great movement!

Lol, I remember the race for the SB3!
I'm definitely in for a reverse panda dial, looks lovely.
Love the watch and would def be interested in a black dial one. But like others price is important, any idea of a ball park figure?
Richy
PS No.4 in the black dial if possible

Panda dial for me, the reverse panda is nice I just cant get past the red seconds as it looks more pink, more for the ladies.
Eddie would love the Panda please, are we nearly there yet?
Im assuming it will be 1-50 not 1-100?
if thats the case, Id like No. 10 in the panda :)
ooooh im liking this a lot.
I want the classic Paul Newman white dial panda sub registers, although the black dial is also amazing
Think there's going to be a lot.of demand for the white one!

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Cheapest ne88 equipped Watch I’ve seen was €500, seiko sell an NE88 Watch for $1500. It’s got to be around the £1000 mark
I like the look of it but I always feel these close homage watches are better with cheaper movements as you’re just playing at owning the real thing. I have an Alpha Newman Daytona and it cost about £130 but has a Manual wind seagul which does the job for a bit of fun homage type Watch IMO. Spending £1000 on a homage is getting a bit serious?
Loving version B - any news Eddie?

Oehhh, exciting news, can't wait to see them.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Did the prototype arrive?
First impressions?

Hopefully Eddie will post pictures of the Prototypes.
Would make a excellent present to myself.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Prototype not being shipped until Friday now, he held it back to ship with the 36mm PRS-25.
