Buy the watch, scrap the kitchen and live off beans and toast. Problem solved!
Well my name has come up in the big Rolex lottery. It couldn't be at a worse time as I have a kitchen to pay for...typical :)
And no flipping as they keep the card (not that I would)...decisions decisions
Buy the watch, scrap the kitchen and live off beans and toast. Problem solved!
The kitchen can wait.
Or else downgrade the marble worktops to Formica.
Don't let the SD50 go - it's really rather good.
You'l love it....a great watch. Just buy it.

I gotta say buy it, I’m still waiting for my number to come up

I'm sure someone on here would take it off your hands and wait for the warranty card
Anyway ... just get it!! :)
Let me have it and I’ll fit your kitchen for free

What are you wearing currently? IMHO, the 50 is a bit flat and fat. Beautifully made, but just a bit podgy.
I really like mine, probably my favourite Rolex, it was an impulsive purchase for me and it led to me parting with my SD4K. I never expected I would like it as much as I do, like others have said - the kitchen can wait.
The SD50 is one of life's priorities......
Go for the watch. Scale back on items in the kitchen.

Meh, it'll be a mk2 now so pretty much worthless ;)
In all seriousness it took a while for me to bond with mine, I just loved my 16600 so much but it's now a firm favourite and will stay in the collection.
So the ad have confirmed that this will be unstickered and sized, ie prepared for wear, no option to keep it in the coffin.
Can you find a credit card offering 0% and pay for it later?

There is no real problem; you buy the 43mm, and then try to get funds for the kitchen. If that proves impossible, sell the watch. As you'l make a profit there's no downside.
Lucky you! On the flipping point, not having the warranty card shouldn't prove to be a hindrance.
no pics on your wrist yet? ...the new kitchen has to wait!
Ha not collecting until Friday
Time spent with watch enjoying it per day 24 hours
Time spent in kitchen enjoying it per day maybe 20 mins
Buy the watch. It is clearly excellent value for money
And the SD50, well, it's got me all lustful and dribbly
Gray
Seems a few of us have had a lucky day this week - I was expecting a 2 year wait and mine came up in ten days. Buy it

You did not mention if you have an other half but if the kitchen is a joint project, not sure how your other half would take too the kitchen funds being spent on a watch.
Personally I would always put the cash into the house renovations first, then look for personal treats but everyone has different opinions.
Congratulations. A great watch and wears smaller than its dimensions have many believe.
On the basis you don’t wear the warranty card, stickers or coffin it sounds about right.
The SD43/50 is a great watch, although it’s marmite. I got mine last year and I’ve veered from loving it to wanting to sell it.
Hope you enjoy it and as Ally says, f##k the kitchen.
Go for it! Which AD is that who removes stickers? A little non trusting aren't they!? Isn't h9lding the card enough!!?

Bet the wife will love you if you buy the watch over a new kitchen? Lol
Buy the watch..............
The missus isn't best pleased AND also thinks the cost is £6k as she's confused it with the GMT Pepsi :)
The kitchen won't be until spring so I have a window to replace the cash before it's required, the kitchen is also costing 6 times the watch so she can't winge too much.
If I needed further justification (which is always useful) the kitchen money is currently sitting in a zero interest account so depreciation in value, which is obviosly madmess ;)
My Man Maths is STRONG!
Lucky you! Still waiting for the call. Must pop into my AD to give them a nudge...
