Important notice regarding posting pictures

1. Use the Tapatalk app (not the TZ-UK app). Pictures are easy, no need for a separate hosting service.

or

2. Use Imgur app - very easy to get a link which is easy to embed using {IMG}{/IMG} (only using [] instead of {} ).

Just seen this as well, weird, also the photo looks good on the phone but rubbish once you click on the link ☹️

I haven't posted a photo for ages either. I feel slightly antiquated as a result.

1. Will try tapatalk app
2. If the photo is taken by phone is there a way to remove ID data from the pic? Or is that not something to be concerned about?

It's always something to be concerned about but should be configurable.

I think I remember testing this and Tapatalk removes the metadata.

Discovering whether post image posts images better on the forum at full resolution or their recommended forum resolution. On the forum app I'm pretty sure the low res version is better. However on a browser....

ok i posted that image with the tapatalk app. why does it not appear unless you click it? im viewing this on chrome on my pc, no show. however on my phone it appears in the app ok.

Wrap the jpg in the image code. Img] [img

on an iPad, it's the picture of a photo, you press it and it brings up a box to insert your jpg address in.

If you already have the images in Imgur there isn’t much more to do. Go to your Imgur image post, tap the image until you see the share icon at the bottom of the screen:

Tap that and you get an option to ‘copy link’. Tap ‘copy link’, then paste that into your TZ-UK post, topped and tailed with the IMG BBCode:

End result in my case looks like this:

It says you used the TZ app, not Tapatalk.

Used new version of TZ-UK Android App (updated today). Nah! still totally borked.

Seems to have a ridiculous image size limit of 620 x 280 now. Anything larger will not upload.

Also has a file size limit of 19.5 KB!
