    PRS-17-C Currently on ebay

I was lucky enough to buy one of these via the forum last month, and I've just seen one on eBay should anyone be interested.

As an aside how many were originally produced, was there a second batch?

Just curious, BTW it's a very good watch.

Eddie found some more in the back of a drawer somewhere. I've got one of those. I made the mistake of trying to change the battery and the head of one of the screws on the battery clamp sheared off so the threaded part of the screw is still in the hole and the clamp can't be used. Also one of the sub dials doesn't work. Really need to find someone to repair it. Any ideas anybody?

I imagine that this watch will come back up for sale. I was the winning bidder, but the seller cancelled the sale as he was only interested in a UK buyer. Quite disappointing really, very interesting watch.

The movement is/has been used by many companies so repairs shouldn't be a problem, though I wouldn't know who to recommend.

The movement in the PRS-17C, i.e. the ETA 251.262 is no longer made and has been replaced by the ETA 251.264. You may still find examples of the former movement for sale on eBay etc, but the latter movement has the same functionality as the 251.262, so should be a drop in replacement.
