Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Finally the GW-5035A-1DR has cleared customs... so it should be with me in a few days..
Will be interesting to see the colour of the strap/bezel as every picture I have seen seems to have made it look different.
Only the Silver All metal to go but I have to enjoy at the moment!
Cheers
Matt
Great weekend everyone
Right one for my girlfriend today

It’s been a strange month for me to end up with these 2
Well I'm feeling quite relieved having not bought a G for like a year
Having played with the Rangeman last night I think functionally it is fantastic but I don't think I'm going to keep it. Don't think I'm quite ready for the step up in size, and to be honest I think the aesthetic is a bit younger than me.

Gs been feeling neglected so gonna be a Good week. First up the one analogue only in my collection - not super rare, but love the green!
Couple of quick pics.. yes I do like the square model..
So the 5035a - the strap and bezel in the matt black is certainly different and it seems to pick up any dust and lint so gives it a worn look very quickly - its a different feel to the normal 5000 model - or the high shine / carbon straps.
Love the negative screen though even from a usability point of view its not as clear. The splash of red is kinda cool.
As expected I paid VAT and the Parcelforce handling charge - so it worked out a bit more than the UK retail price but less than the scalpers on ebay (and heck I found it brand new in stock..)
Now I only would like to pickup the all metal - or I would be tempted by a tough solar model with the gold burst type screen of the other 35th anniversary - not sure I would ever wear the 35th Frogman purely from a size point of view.
Thank you all for making me this way (but I do like the fact hunting gshocks is a cheaper hobby than other brands :) )

A splendid collection, showing the variety of squares available. Regarding the strap on the 5035a, I've found on my GA835 that it does show rub marks quite easily but the lint collection does decrease after some time. Tempted by your DW-5035D-1BJR...
^^^^some lovely squares! Today I'll raise your puny squares with the King! Not just any King but the DGK.
It's a big watch and haven't worn it in ages but such a badass. Was a difficult limited edition to find back in the day and still quite rare even today.
I don't think there is another on this forum?

Love the s5600 titanium back, very light.....
For me i have just bought a gxw-56 .... lets hope its not too massive on the wrist !
The only thing that concerns me is that from watching some YouTube videos I understand that the strap is longer than the normal resin ones. I have a 6.75" wrist and the standard straps are just short enough so as not to stick out.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this wont stick out too much - if it does then that will kill it for me, which would be a shame as I think it looks great.

GW-S5600-1JF arrived today
Love the shiny look!
It really is as light as a feather and the case is more compact height wise than a standard 5600/5610. Its hardly noticeable on the wrist.
The strap is noticeably longer than the standard models though and this is as tight as I can have it without too much sticking out of the keeper and winding me up
On the correct hole there is too much sticking out for my taste.
Disappointing
Im certainly not going to get into trying to modify the strap so looks like it will have to go

The 5035D looks amazing, I keep thinking I should get one even though it's a bit out of my typical price range (and I've spent my watch budget for a couple of months in advance anyway).
The mirror LCD got me thinking though - is the visibility better in low light, is there more light reflected back? Or are there any other advantages or benefits? Or is it there just to look cool?

I think that's it, yes. I haven't seen it in person, the Casio importer for Slovenia hasn't received a single example, but I read in a couple of reviews, and seen in some pictures, that the LCD of the DW-5035D is somewhat different, with a textured background and apparently more reflective, and it made me think whether there may be a technical advantage to this upgrade. Have you observed any differences like an improved viewing angle, better contrast, anything?
Congrats! I do like the 'old' 'mid range' Froggys - and this one isn't too bad. How do you like the colour scheme?
Ah edit - this is the tornado anniversary one and not the origin model....still nice :)
Edit 2 - dammit this is a damn nice froggy, price is likely a barrier :/

Normal Froggys are around £900...some Google ninja skills show this is gettable for around €1100 - so not a massive mark up. But I'm just not in a position to splash that cash at the moment.
The 'origin' version (GF-8235D-1B) is a nice alternative - cheaper and more wearable, but lacks the wow factor of this D10xx model I think.
I even think 900 for a g shock is more than i would want to pay. Sacrilege i know :))
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
